Cleveland close to trading for rondo.

Stuck with schroder still.

Sigh

Inwould be down for that, but I think Fox might be able to be gotten without moving brown.

But assuming brown for hali and barnes:

Hali/pritchard
Smart/Richardson
Tatum/Nesmith
Barnes/GrantW
Timelord/Horford

Still some serious fundamental flaws here.

I dont trust the center spot or the sg spot.

Horford, Brown and Smart to sacramento
Haliburton, barnes, bagley and buddy?

Hali/pritch
Smart/buddy/romeo
Barnes/nesmith
Tatum/grant
Timelord/barnes

The value match seems ok but suddenly we have ~120 minutes of Kings players in the rotation. A group that is a clear lottery team...

Trade that package to Sacramento
D.Fox goes to Philly
Simmons to Boston

it's actually reasonably on all side IMO.

It’s that time of the year.. that “Marcus Smart and picks for an all star level player” time.

Smarts trade value is super low. He won’t fetch you anything of interest on the trade market.

Jaylen for Fox would be the deal if Brad really loved Fox.

I would strongly consider Jaylen for Hali, Buddy and one or 2 1sts. I don't think the Kings want to get rid of Hali, though. It's Fox they want gone, and I don't have much interest in a score first, no defense PG..

I think you're not prying Hali off the Kings without a godfather offer, he's been fantastic.

My ideal would be Jaylen for Djounte and McDermott.

Why for SA - I really have no idea. I'm just wishing. Jaylen is a scoring terror when he is hot and a good man defender when locked in. They get out of their only bad contract (it's not even all that bad) in McD who is needed to make contracts match.

Why for Bos - Change is needed and badly. Djounte is good in all facets of the game aside from 3 pt shooting and 34% isn't as horrific as it could be but most importantly he is a floor general and a gamer. Taking McD's contract is part of making it appetizing for SA but he does also provide really good 3pt shooting.

I know some around here will think it's too little for Jaylen but I think the Spurs would probably want at least a pick back as well to consider it after watching our disfunction the last couple seasons. Even then I don't think they do it, I think Djounte is too solid unless they straight up blow it up if Pop retires.

After that some small moves like trying to get something or an exception for Schroeder and trying to get under the lux line again. Start trying to right the ship and get the team playing the right way.

More. Not sure by how much but I value him more but granted there’s a Sacramento element to fox where you wonder if you get him out of there will he flourish in a better situation.

I’d be happy to add fox to the jays or if the kings really blew us away with a deal I could do do it but otherwise easy pass Imo. I’ll trade Jaylen but he’s out last real valuable trade piece and if we do I wanna get something like a superstar or other back as rare as those deals are.

I got ya.

I firmly believe that Fox is available and could be got cheaper than thought.

Sacramento needs a bigman for the future and needs cap savings. Seems like a deal giving at least 1 of those with a pick can most likely get fox.

Richardson, schroder, timelord and juacho and a pick for fox?
Horford, schroder, juancho, romeo and a first and a second for fox, bagley and woodard?

Fox/pritch
Smart/richardson
Brown/nesmith
Tatum/grantw
Timelord/bagley

Atlanta's an interesting trade partner. Collins plus Okongwu and/or Reddish for Brown and fillers seems like a better option than Sabonis, Fox and Simmons. Collins can at shoot the 3.

If Stevens deals for Sabonis, Fox or Simmons then either Smart or Rob Williams need to be dealt too. Ime seems too stubborn to bring Smart off the bench.

I'm not a huge fan of Fox, but I think his value is rather low at the moment. Do teams really want a small, score first PG who doesn't defend on a huge contract to boot? And he's not much of a shooter outside the arc. 3pt % is dreadful.

If you can get him without giving up JB it's def something you have to think about, but I have a hard time believing they can't get something better since all the Cs could offer are picks. Maybe if we offered to take Buddy off their hands, too.

Jaylen and Atlanta is only going to pick up steam going forward, can say that much.

They are an interesting trade partner, and who I’ve been eyeing for awhile.

Hunter > Collins although his injury history is kind of concerning.

Brown for Bogdanovic and Huerter. Sign me up. Brown's sloppiness with the ball drives me crazy. But Huerter is one of those poison pill guys, so the deal probably doesn't work.

Better deal: Jaylen Brown and Dennis Schroder for Bogdanovic, Huerter and Lou Williams (expiring)

This is wildly undervaluing Brown. Huerter and Bogdanovic are good players but they are role players, you don't trade a star wing for them

Brown just impersonates a star wing. He isn't one, although he thinks he is. At the end of every close game, I'm silently hoping they don't give the ball to him, because he'll turn it over if given half a chance.

Six turnovers today.

This rare and impressive victory better not make people think all is well in Celtic land.. Moves need to be made still.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..
