Honestly though, he looked pretty borderline at times last night much like summer league game because he tried or had to do too much. He is still just a 3 pt specialist and the other 4 guys need to be rocking for him to look good.
So you missed the play where he drove to the basket, stopped around the FT line, then hit the turnaround jumper?
I’m glad he can make a few plays, hit a few mid range jumpers and make a few defensive plays too.
But his value to this team is 100% as a 3 point shooter and when he is asked to do more it just doesn’t go as well (obviously you are ignoring those plays - and there were more than a few) That means he will be more of a situational specialist playing with 3-4 starters/best players and not truly a Gallinari replacement - at least for now. Gallo had a lot more in his offensive arsenal than being a stretch forward and could have been a guy to help carry the load for the second team.
Helps our depth a lot, and he's getting the opportunity to cement a rotation role. Gallo would've buried him. Don't care if he can't playmaker like Gallo, he's a find. Pritchard with better size and defense.
