I don't think that's a fair comparison. Ime inherited a team with terrible habits that had never had any accountability. It took him until the trade deadline to mold the team. Joe inherited a team coming off a finals run, and coached an older Tatum/Brown.

He’s one of the handful of guys on this team I do trust in a tight, playoff atmosphere.

They create much better threes when he plays though, I trust that. Plus, he is shooting way below his level from three, that will definitely correct.

Sounds great but if Tatum doesn’t raise his game, we can replace our bench players with 5 solid vets and it won’t matter. It’s time for JT to assume the mantle.

They hit some tough shots and we needed to attack more. Missing 3s is not much different than a turnover. Haliburton has really upped his game.

My initial impression was to just say forget about this game without Porzingis, but after further thought I seriously asked myself why wasn't Hauser in towards the end, as he seriously outplayed Holiday so only one ball handler (White) was needed by my estimation. Poor choice by Joe. Hauser was +9, Holiday -15.

It took a season for Joe to figure out White can close games. Might need another for him to realize Hauser can close at times. He was playing well on both ends and deserved more minutes.

The thing is, if I'm asking myself this question ALL THRU Q4, why isn't Joe? And more importantly, if he notices it, why isn't he acting on it?

Still not as bad as the game we lost when we needed a 3 and Joe never put Sam on the floor, and he was 3/6 that game. That was really weak coaching awareness. Tonight was bad, but not "keep your best 3 point shooter on the bench when you need a 3 to tie a game" level bad.

For what it's worth, I think Joe has legitimately improved and not just because of his assistants. But I still think he's going to get taken to the cleaners by the top-10 coaches in the league, especially in crunch time.
