Joe Mazzulla says Jaylen Brown had a great week of preparation with no limitations and the plan is to play tomorrow without restrictions

From what I heard, he should still sit; basically through the whole 1st Round.
It didn't sound like he could heal while playing, or normal practices, for that matter.

Have heard the total opposite all along, but it doesn't matter what we think or think we've heard or what we feel: he's playing, and here's hoping he's playing well enough!

Magic without Suggs and Mo Wagner who were lost to season-ending injuries.
Celtics have no injuries to report.

Well surely they wouldn't be calling something a "bone bruise" and have it truly be something much worse that can't heal with rest again right.

Whole new management, new medical team. We're not repeating history here I hope.

Either way it does seem strategically stupid to play him in the first round. Could at least see if we could handle the Magic first without him and avoid the wear and tear on it if nothing else for one round.

IMO Celtic postseason starts after they lose a game.

So the longer the Cs don't lose a game, the better!

Hoping the Cs go 16-2 this postseason.

First 21 games w/ Porzingis: 12-9; 113.7 ORtg, 112.6 DRtg, +1.2 net
Last 21 games w/ Porzingis: 18-3; 118.6 ORtg, 108.2 DRtg, +10.4 net

KP is key to this playoff run. He's peaked at the right time.

In the regular season it was quite normal for Tatum to sit back and let mainly JB and KP get going first. Wasn't a fan of that then and certainly not now. I get why Tatum did it however, but just feel when Tatum gets it going early, Tatum and the team, seem so much more dominant. As usual, I don't have any analytics to go by, just my flawed memory.

100%. KP's play over the last 21 games was huge. If he continues to play at that level, our chances for another title improve. Go Celtics!

Tatum still steers the ship but if we're ever going to reach that mountaintop again, KP's gonna have to be that oil to lubricate our turbocharged engine. (Mixed metaphors rule!)

Luke last post season was the only player in competitive action with a negative plus minus.
One of the biggest questions this playoffs is will Luke’s reg season positive +/- carryover to playoff basketball

I’m really excited for Luke carryover. But it’s also no sure thing that Luke won’t be exposed in this setting.
Other than JBs health, Luke’s impact translating to this setting is my biggest and most critical question.

If in this playoffs, Luke is +14.7 per 100 poss (as was his reg season +/-) then we are going to be VERY tough to beat in a series.

Kornet got a lingering calf injury just before the 2024 playoffs began, added a wrist sprain in the Indiana series, and has improved a lot in the past year.

There could very well be some double bigs this series.

SamIam 2010: Truth's ability to play so incredibly efficiently is so UNDERAPPRECIATED. Bballcool 2012: Amazing how great Pierce has been for so long. Continues to defy age! KG 2013: P is original Celtic. Wherever he goes, we go. This is The Truth's house.

I'd like to see that.
So far, he's been the Best 3rd Center, in the League.

We're holding him to high standards. He's been playing more like a 2nd Center.
Celtics just have a comedy of riches. We're lucky.

Hopefully, that carries us on.
