Hot take for sure. Jalen went #2, right? “outperform” is relative, but I’d say these guys will. This is more than “almost everyone,” I think
Harper, Edgecombe, Knueppel, Johnson, Queen, Sorber
Not hot at all.
The point I'm making is that we should be cautious about our desire to trade JB for a sexy young prospect who probably won't contribute to winning for quite awhile, especially at the level we'll expect in 26-27.

I'd like to be the first of many to say, "Every team is loading up except us. Come on Brad, do something!"

I guess they're playing a two-big lineup.

Celtics need to be a faster team.
Fast break points is one of the weaknesses of this Cs team.
Get guys who love to run and drive to the basket.
The 6th, 7th, and 8th men of the Cs are all shooters.
We need guys like Jaden Ivey or Amen Thompson.

They're top 5 draft picks with some experience in the league coming into their own as players. Those aren't practical trade targets nor are players like them. Unless we're dealing Brown/White we don't have the ammo to get guys like that, and if we do, then we won't be comparing them to our bench players anymore because they'll be our starters.

Got it. Must have missed that part. IF they go SAS route (The Admiral) and tank. That player drafted could be ready around when JT is, more than likely. Of course, you have to draft well.

Not saying this is what’s happening. Just saying there is logic, if it does.

The Rafael Devers trade also made me wonder if quant Zarren is looking at JB's contract and modelling how it will age. There's a non-zero chance they may decide to move on from him if only because they expect a performance decline that will create a huge delta vs. his salary.

Those are just examples to prove a point.
A guy like Sexton or Davion Mitchell fits that mold.
Or someone like LeVert.
Point is Cs need guys that can drive and run.

JT and JB are helping in rebounding, so the potential fast break outlet pass will be to White, Jrue, PP, and Sam.
White is the only one among that group who can finish strong at the rim.
Need to upgrade that aspect of the game for the Cs.

Gotta find that Dyson Daniel’s who just sitting on the bench waiting for the run.
Ivey fits that criteria
Anthony Black, Ayo Dosunmu, Cam Thomas, Cam Whitmore?

You could argue there’s a delta without factoring that in. It’s all perspective though. If a team thinks their a JB away from a finals run, maybe they produce an offer Brad can’t turn down.
HOU was in that group
SAS, DAL, PHI, ATL, NOP
Your guess is as good as mine.

No way is Houston trading Amen, I think Ivey is definitely attainable though

Those are just examples.
There are others out there who are cheaper.
