He opted in a couple of days ago. I don't think he's terrible at all, I think unreasonable expectations were put upon him. He was the 2nd best player on the Hawks for a while and now has been in a weird situation with the Jazz. Being the 4th or 5th best player in a winning culture could change people's outlook on him immensely.

I'm not surprised he opted in, since he's not worth anything close to $26M.

Good vertical threat, and can guard multiple positions so should fit the Celtics well. Also, we know Brad loves big men who has good vision and can pass. And his dad played for us back in the day (Charles Claxton). Lastly, we know the Lakers probably want him too so him landing with us would be the proverbial cherry on top.

I could see this being true. Collins has Jeff Schwartz as his agent.

Honestly, Shams hasn’t known too much since the offseason began

Let me add that I want no part of Claxton either. Worst free throw shooter in the league. And talk about a guy who doesn't fit Mazulla's system.

Yes!! Jaylin Williams has been on my radar as a potential big for this team. He has some Horford in him with his shooting and passing, and he was the most effective OKC big in defending Jokic. OKC drafted Sorber so they might be open to trading Jaylin, although it seems like he's a highly valued locker room guy.

The problem could be finding a third team to absorb Simons.

Guy seems like a good locker room and glue guy. Not expecting him to be a vital contributor but for the contract I think he's good enough.

Tatum won't allow Niang to be traded. He needs a good practice player to get his MOJO back.

I don't see Jaylin Williams as feasible. OKC just doesn't need anything from us.

Kyle Flipowski is kind of interesting.

I like it for the Cavs. But they just added another injury prone guard.

Maybe that means they're losing Jerome who was great for them.

Ty Jerome is leaving. Probably the right call, he was horrible against the Pacers in the playoffs. Legit unplayable after a good regular season. That's kinda my worry with Scheierman, is he too small and slow to play in playoff games?

Lonzo is a good fit on the Cavs, hopefully he can stay healthy. Okoro was a negative most of the time so the Bulls not getting a 2nd is incompetence

Bulls are notorious for not getting significant assets back for their players lol.

Keep Simons. To trade him for cost cutting only to sign Al and Kornet would make me sick. Simons is in his Prime and is very good. Al is so old and doesn't fit our timeline. Kornet is only playable in the regular season.

My take on the idea of moving one of Hauser, Simons, or Niang: Simons would be my first choice. Though I like his scoring, Hauser is on a good contract, has a size advantage, is a better defensive player, and one of the best 3-point shooters in the league. We know his game. Niang is a solid role player who is an excellent 3-point shooter, has a dawg mentality, and most importantly, fills a position of need. If we ship out Niang, who can we sign that can better fill the PF position?

Simoms is a good player. Can't just salary dump him.
