LOL so I have to do THIS for six more days? Good thing I don't have a life.

So I wonder what we'll find out at 6 today? Will they announce they've came to agreement with Kemba and then he'll sign on 7/6? Will other deals for the C's possibly be announced? I hope we don't have to wait weeks or possibly months.

Well we will know that Celtic_Champs will take a walk with his wife and HER tiny dog. So we have that to look forward to

Ditto

Hard to believe there is still a pretty solid group of those who joined in 2003.

It's crazy how much/how little has changed. I remember in the early 2000s trading vhs tapes of summer league tapes, and, in the Pau Gasol draft, all we had was like 1 grainy clip of him shooting a jump shot, possibly with other players, furniture, or beings around him (Alf?). Information was far less accessible, but I remember it being much more fun. I also have vivid memories of Joseph Forte sitting on the sidelines of a game with an oversized daffy duck shirt, and I know that would've been screencapped/memed today. On the other side, full time employment, marriage, and other life responsibilities probably have reduced the fun potential of the 2019 realgm era for me. I still read a ton, and the active group here still kills it. Keep it up, ya'll.

The C's don't really need or that much want a real scoring center: already they've got almost a great a scorers crunch as they had last season. And there are a slew of serviceable, primarily D-oriented centers out there, so one of them, at least, will be available cheap within a couple of weeks. And, having someone like that will be the best thing for TimeLord too.

All is good.

Oh so crazy. Think about it was 4 years before the first smartphone. I remember in '04 watching the NBA draft in a bar in Kauai because I was on my honeymoon and I couldn't drag my computer around with me, although I wanted to. The hotel had bad internet so I'd sneak downstairs and login to post on here or read on the hotel computer.

Wow, four years goes by fast. I do take comfort that while presidents change, the economy goes up and down, and anticipated trades fall apart, realgm shenanigans persist.

ETA - I could've sworn that was last year, too.

If we sign Rozier for say 16 million and trade him to Charlotte for walker at 32 mil.....does that mean we can e the team that trades a pick for Capella and his 16 mil?

If true, it should help make Charlotte amenable if we need one.

Some other notable Jeff Schwartz clients:

Blake Griffin - I'd say no with that contract and injury outlook.

Kevin Love - Intriguing, not sure where he'd play small center? Contract and injuries also a concern.

Andrew Drummond - I don't know what he'd look like outside of Detroit? Overrated or underrated? Fills a position of need.

Nikola Jokic - Pipe dream

CJ McCollum - See above

Hassan Whiteside -

LaMarcus Aldridge - Really don't know seems like he would need the ball too much?

Marvin Bagley - Not going anywhere.

Dario Saric - ?

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson - Intriguing

Pat Connaughton - Killed us in the playoffs, local boy.

Sorry, but you had a total brain cramp. A better question would be whether Charlotte could do something with the $16 million difference.

I was praised as a great poster on KFFL's football forum one year because, before YouTube, I was fast and good at finding video of prospects on the web and posting links to it.

If we trade for Capela's $16M and Kemba's $32.7M, we would need somewhere around $38.5M outgoing salary. Rozier's would count for only $8M (50% of his new salary) since BYC is triggered. We'll be $30.5M short haha.

Okay, maybe there's a way not to trigger the BYC but even then we'd be $22.5M short on outgoing salary.

You’re right. It only helps if we sign and trade Kyrie as well and use exception to bring back Walker....and the sign and trade Rozier. Too complicated and no incentive for Nets or Kyrie.
