Jokic would be pissed. All his effort goes to waste.

Yup doesn’t looked like a zone. I think it was just Plumlee being dumb.

What's crazy about that game - glancing at the box score - Jamal Murray played slightly more than 44 minutes, and the Nuggets were outscored by 18 in the ~4 minutes he sat.

He was clearly yelling for Jerami Grant to switch onto AD, Grant wouldn't leave Lebron. Not sure who's fault. It's questionable to me that Plumlee was out there to begin with, though.

Same thing happened to us. Tatum left his man, and was signalling for brown to switch, but won’t leave his man Gasol. Exactly the same. That’s why you play man to man, at those situations to avoid confusion.

Not exactly the same. Theis was in the vicinity of Gasol, even if Lowry was able to lob the pass to him. A Gasol basket would've tied the game. A Lebron roll to the rim and basket would've resulted in a loss for Nuggets. You always defend the three in our situation.

Plumlee also didn't need to switch since there was no screen at all lol. He just hid under Lebron.

I agree ours was different. Stevens dropped the ball by opting to play zone, instead of man to man. Plus i agree, a two by gasol would have been fine. Plumlee was just dumb and lazy. He could have easily followed AD  I don’t know if they can recover from this.

This aged well. At least the Pats are winning now.

This has also aged poorly. Ugh

Since you're on a roll tonight, why don't you tell us what's gonna happen Wednesday night, Heat vs Celtics, Game 4?

I was wondering why on earth Jokic who was originally guarding the in bounder, was then the one contesting Davis. Plumlee barely played in the game. I never like using cold people on final plays.

This "playoff rondo" nonsense has to be the biggest fiction of all time. I seem to remember "playoff rondo" completely quitting on the Mavericks a few years ago. You can also blame this dick for Ray Allen taking off from the Celtics to the Heat.

I don't care for LeBron or his game and never have, but that just sounds salty and stupid. You can't wait for one of 5 greatest players to play this game to retire? You must not actually care for basketball much then.

What is there to love exactly? Watching LeBron continually dictating who he can play with so he can stomp all the other teams? He is going to his 9th finals in 10 years because once again he created another super team. I'm happy to see him retire because there will be more parody in the NBA when he does.

1. The Lakers are hardly a super team. Aside from LeBron and Davis they are pretty meh. The Clippers being pathetic choke artist is fueling this nonsense take.

2. THE NBA HAS NEVER HAD PARITY. lol Basketball pretty much has the least parity of any of the major sports. From the beginning of the season you can pretty much point to what the finals will be in any given year and be right. You can certainly pinpoint who will end up as the final four teams. Parity is definitely isn't something you should bring up in the NBA whether LeBron is still playing or not.

The Lakers have two top five players on one team. You could even argue LeBron is 1 and Davis is 2. They are stomping every team they play and are going to win the finals. I'd call them a super team.

Team LeBron is going to be in the finals 9 times in the past 10 years. Because of him buddy ball is a thing. I actually think the NBA was on the right track to get a bit more parody in the NBA. Let's be honest it's working a bit no one thought the nuggets and heat will be in finals for each division. Of course none of that matters because LeBron spearheaded getting Davis hair probably before even signed with the Lakers and they're going to easily win the finals.

Maybe I'm naive but once LeBron retires I think they'll be more parody.

I think you are right about parity up to a point. Obviously teams build well (let's use 80s lakers and celtics as examples). Teams are meant to build the best teams they can. But the total concentration of talent (see miami heatles and durant warriors) that formed without cost (either likely tampering to ensure miami had the cap space for 2 stars or an unprecedented spike in the cap) has further dismissed competition. Of course players can choose where they go, thats what free agency is about. But when players make gutless, anti competitive moves over and over, they should be judged harshly for it. For me its not just about winning, but how you got there too!

Mentally preparing myself for the possibility that the Lakers will tie the Celtics for NBA Championships in a couple of weeks.

However unlikely, just about the ultimate irony and shot at the lakers would be us beating the lakers for the title, tatum getting finals mvp and dedicating the win to Kobe
