Dang. He was always a shooter who showed decent athleticism. Javonte definitely outplayed him last year but he was the last cut.

Either way he probably wouldn’t have that same success here. Miami is just next level at getting people to hit open 3s off screens. Whatever drills they are running are working.

Strus was outdone by a Monk!

Heat at full strength and still loses to the Hornets.

Not a good start to the season for the Heat.

Watched the last 3 quarters. Miami has some bad defense. And while I would rather have T Herro than Romeo Langford because of his offense of course, T Herro's defense is as bad as almost every starter in the league (outside of Trae Young and maybe Duncan Robinson)

Now that Herro and Duncan start together, I don't see how Miami can contend again without making some sort of change.

Huh. Heat lost 6 of 7. The one they won was by 1 pt vs Kings. How is it even possible that a team with one of the best coaches lose this much?? Cs fans would have Spo fired by now. Lost their 10-pt lead in two minutes. Had two timeouts and didn't call one for the last possession in regulation. Hornets won in OT while missing Rozier and Washington.

For as disappointed everyone is about being 10-8 with several close losses, the Miami Heat are 7-13 and under .500 with Butler in the lineup.

Plus their first round elite shooting sophomore is shooting worse than Grant Williams and Carsen Edwards this year. Yikes. It's a good thing they may get a high first round pick this year. Oh wait, they traded it to Phoenix.

The grass is not always greener. I'm not going to totally discount everything that happened in the bubble, because overcoming adversity is pretty much the whole point of sports, and Miami did that. But, I'm also not surprised one bit that some things are not carrying over.

Miami may still get things turned around, but I'll take our situation over theirs right now without hesitation.

So true.

Tatum and Brown will be the new Jordan and Pippen once guys like Lebron and Durant start to decline.

For a "basketball genius" Riley is always in our ****.
Good assessment:

PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

I'm just here to laugh about Kyle Lowry getting a F1 for his box out on Aaron Gordon that led to Gordon decking him. The Raps fans are, as usual, in an uproar

Lowry ended Gordon's season last year with a cheap foul, I'd say Lowry got off easy. Was pretty fun watching Gordon lay him out the other night, probably had been thinking about it for months.

Kyrie looks slimmer and more explosive than he was with us.

I'd still take him. Park him in the corner on offense and make him use all his energy defending the better players on D.
NAME ON THE FRONT OF THE JERSEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(!)

It’s sad watching Kyrie and Kemba, and you realize that Kemba is nowhere near the skills of Kyrie, in terms of shot creating and making. Kemba misses a whole lot of open shots.

Eh I always felt Kyrie is closer to Kemba than he is to Steph or Dame. He was a #2 with one of, if not, the greatest #1's ever. He's a #3 in Brooklyn.

We knew this already. But Tatum and Brown certainly wouldn’t be making the improvements they have if Kyrie was still here, so it balances out.
