No thanks on trading for another with anger issues.
Well to be fair playing in Cleveland will do that to most players.

I'm not a big Carsen guy either, but every team has a couple guys at the end of the bench who aren't very good and rarely play. The 15th man is not going to make a difference no matter who it is.
Unless you replace the 15th man with a 9th best man and your 14th best man slides to the 15th slot.

Yeah, he has issues. He had issues in college. He hasn't played this year, because he has issues. They gave away his locker, because he has issues.
If this was a single food fight incident, they wouldn't be ready to waive him.
The kid is 20 and has a ton of talent. Yes, he has issues, lots of them but this is the type of risk I want to see the team take, especially given how much we talk about how good the Celtics are as an organization. The kid definitely needs some help but I'm all for trading a second for him and have him surrounded by good vets in our locker room to sort out some of the off-court concerns. I doubt Danny goes for it tho.
I don't really see how our vets are going to help him sort out his drug, weapons, and wife beating charges.

Drug as in marijuana, which like 80% of the league smokes lol. I've seen timelord post pictures of guns in his house too, btw. They can tell him he's 20 years old and he might be screwing up his life and losing millions by deciding to carry a gun for no good reason. I forgot about the woman-beating thing tho, that seems like a mental health issue where he might need professional help.

I'll never make light of mental health issues but beating a woman (or anyone) doesn't necessarily point to that, he might just simply be an ***hole. Being an ***hole can be a symptom of mental issues but it's far from a given.

To me, being that violent is a some type of severe anger issue, which to me is some type of mental health issue, just not one that we have a name for yet

He was accused, but appears as though his sister punched someone and some other guy got involved and the woman was accusing Porter of throwing the punch.

Chicago has such guys: Lauri Markkanen and Otto Porter.
Atlanta has: John Collins.
We can only obtain Porter by letting go of either Walker, Smart and/or Thompson.
We can't just use the TPE to absorb his contract because we are hardcapped (and we don't want to go into luxury tax).
It's difficult, although I really like him.
