Only guy i would want who got traded is Saddiq Bey.

I like the idea of Beverly.

Odd. You was very adamant that we made enough moves today and that we can fill out the roster in the buyout market. If Tatum has 70 turnovers in the playoffs because his legs are dead, just be here to take accountability for your take.

I'll be here doing the same.

What's your issue bud?

It doesn't matter what me or anyone wants. I can have my opinion on what I want them to do but I have zero say in what happens. Not a hard concept to understand but apparently it is for you lmaooooo.

My issue is you replied to me as if your takes are factual and there was no room discuss it. I did not reply to a single on of your takes, ones I agreed with or ones I didn't.

Feel like Pritchard and Gallo and 5 picks could have brought something in superior to Hauser behind Tatum and superior to anyone who gets bought out.

5 picks? LOL, c'mon son, let's be realistic. No one is giving up 5 picks for a guy who won't even play in the playoffs. Our top 8 guys is set in stone. Teams typically only rotate 8 guys in the playoffs.

We already traded 2 picks for Muscala. Already traded our 1st rounder in 2023 for brogdon, not allowed to trade our 2024 1st rounder till july.

No one is gonna give us a wing who's better than Hauser for a 34 year old with a torn ACL. C'mon, be realistic here.

Odd the Nets held onto all their wings but I'd assume they think they'll get a better deal in offseason

Thought so too. But the Pelicans writer at The Athletic thinks it could happen, was a salary dump for them.

Interesting. Let's watch how the Pelicans do over the next week and see where they're at in the standings. If they are looking bad, perhaps they buy him out.

As of now though, Pelicans are the 7 seed so I wouldn't think they'd buyout a good player like j-rich.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Might as well have been. The Celtics have the best team in the league. What's the issue?

There is no issue. The Celtics ARE the best team in the league, no one asked them to shake up their core.

Ended up with a lot of activity but the deals that didn’t happen are the story. Hawks, Clippers and Blazers treadmilled hard (the Blazers’ 360 degree rebuild is hilarious), Toronto sold on no one, Chicago is doomed. Miami is stuck with Lowry.

Brad's done well, but as Gasper from the Globe has noted,
Stevens still hasn't done one of those risky, multiple draft picks/pick swaps/
good players for a Star, which could come back to haunt the franchise.

Brad's made very solid, little-to-medium risk Trades: White, Brogdon, etc.,
which are fine, but may not result in a Championship or destroying
your franchise like the Nets.

This is Boston and we love our Shoot For The Moon types of trades
and perhaps we'll see such a deal after this season.

Actually a pretty nice trade deadline for Brad Stevens and the Celtics. My only disappointment is we didn't get to 100 pages.

So he didn't do much at the deadline. It wasn't going to be easy to make trades where we needed have assets we wanted to trade. I thought PP for Plumlee would have been good.

We will probably add a wing as a buyout.

Actually you got upset when I replied saying the Mavs couldn't sniff the same package the Suns did after you said the Mavs missed out on KD. I'm not allowed to reply to posts of yours that I had a rebuttal to?

Bev and Smart together would be a fun watch, I just don’t see how there is minutes.

Also I believe Bev took a shot at Tatum last season. Can’t see anyone running to Brad saying pick up Bev.

Our biggest hope is somehow Gallo comes back this season.

Just got confirmation on the Devonte' Graham-Josh Richardson swap for New Orleans. Pels basically move Graham and four second round picks for a player on an expiring contract. This move will give some cap flexibility to the Pels, who have a quietly expensive roster next year once Zion Williamson's max extension kicks in. Graham was already out of the rotation and I wouldn't expect Richardson to come in and play a ton of minutes. Richardson does provide more defense and playoff experience than Graham. It wouldn't surprise me if Richardson ends up getting bought out if he can find a better home elsewhere. This move was really about getting off the $12 million that was owed to Graham next season.

Called it earlier. Financially motivated trade.

Get that team to Seattle. Pels should not be capped at the tax when they have Ingram, Zion, McCollum, bunch of good youngsters and extra draft picks. They can't make moves when they're not able to pay the tax. How are they gonna trade for lets say OG and pay him the max without going into the tax. Impossible.

This is first of many moves to come that are gonna be influenced by the $ not basketball.

This deadline was always going to be about the buyout market more than the trade deadline itself. The Celtics-specific part is just getting started.

Sadiq Bey

Pistons instead chose to deal Bey for an athletic 7-footer who is only 21 and was the #2 pick in the draft. Guess they liked that offer a little more than a 34 year old with a torn ACL.

Barton could end up being a better playoff performer than Bey anyways. Barton is older, more playoff experience, better defender, better ball mover, better at driving and finisher near the basket. And more likely to accept a lesser role on a contender. A young guy like Bey who has been starting for basically his whole career is not gonna want to ride the bench all postseason.

Now just need a buyout wing to eat up some minutes in regular season to be able to take the load off JT. Then I think everyone here will be happy
