I don't remember Ryan Hollins getting 3 insane blocks in 8 minutes and consistently swatting jumpshooters on the perimeter without leaving his feat before the offensive player.

Equating Ryan Hollins to T I M E L O R D athletically is illegitimate.

No. It's not. The point is that elite athleticism does not equate to a successful career. If it did, Darius Miles would have been a star. What is going to make Williams a stud is his basketball IQ coupled with his athleticism.

The same could be said for elite passing vision. Remember Kendall Marshall?

good work.

There's plenty of white guys in college right now that are coaches sons that can only wish they had the athleticism of grayson allen.

Kid is raw, but he does things that no one else on the team can do. Camel this year, but if he has a work ethic, watch out next year.

Miles is not the best example he was on his way to stardom and got derailed by a freak injury..

As an aside - Athleticism gets such a bad rap around here..

I think its because people love to imagine there is some mysterious give and take. Like if you are athletic you can't shoot. Or if you are athletic you can't be a smart basketball player. Truth is the NBA is competitive enough (especially at the smaller positions) such that you can be REALLY athletic but unless you are insanely skilled you will be out of a job.

But the taller you get the less skill you need - as you are facing less competition (this is just math). Williams is tall enough such that he doesn't need elite passing skill or freaky ball handling. His run and jump ability combined with some modest shooting and passing will be enough.

Back to RW:
People don't want to admit it but Williams likely only problem could be upstairs - aka mental outlook. He seems to have all the tools but does he really want it. Will he just coast by on his athletic ability and skills or will he try to maximize them. Williams is the kind of guy that could go either way.. We have seen negative signs and some really positive ones..

Brad on Rob:

“...We're thrilled with the progress he's made, and we do think that as time goes on, he can really help us. He has a great attitude about everything, and I think he's learned a lot from Al, Baynes and Daniel. But, who knows? It could all change. He could be playing a lot by next week, knock on wood. Hopefully, we will have all of our bodies, but you never know.”

It looked like he played one minute? What was up with that? missed an assignment or something?

And Yabs realizes I think that he blew his opportunity with the C's by not working hard enough for the last 2 1/2 years. Showing dedication in the 3 weeks up to his option deadline isn't going to cut it.

He came in for 1 minute to close the second half. He was fine on d but looked lost on offence. He took em out with about 37 seconds go go

I think he was taken out for an offensive substitution of Gordon or Kyrie to close the quarter. But I was surprised Yabu came in later instead of RW.

Any elaboration on he looked lost on offense?

Dude he played like 30 seconds filling a hole in the rotation in a situational spot because we are down a big man.

He's not in the dog house, because he's not even in the rotation yet. Do yourself a favor and let it breathe for a couple months, come back and we'll see where RW is at.

There is a give and take actually.

Because this is where you find info & articles about Robert Williams in an easily accessible manner.

Not here to have an aneurysm over 30 seconds of situational ball in his third appearance for the ball club.

I sometimes wonder whether pro athletes look on theese forums. Criticism can be a great motivator. Clemmons threw one of his 20 strikeout games after he was ripped by the media for him complaining that no one was assigned to carry his luggage..

RW, IF YOU read this; we love your potential!. We love what you can bring. We need you! Step up, give it 110% every time.. Giannis awaits you, embid, Drummond... Come on let's see you show them you can play with the big boys.. My hope is you look at bill Russell and work at being as dominant as he was!!
