And to put it terms of your question: If I knew my employer was counting on me for a big project this summer but I knew I was leaving, you can be DAMN SURE I would let them know one way or another.

ETA: In fact, I did that when I left my last job.

Yeah, not really similar to the real world to me. Some companies may be able to just fire you or affect you in an adverse way. In some circumstances like the one you gave you certainly could want to let them know.

What does Kyrie have to lose really? Maybe he is traded if Danny knew before the deadline, but what does it really matter for him?

Well, moving sucks. If he got traded somewhere where it was a really bad fit it could potentially hurt future earnings. Things can be 2 at once. It really sucks that Kyrie burned us like he did and it was fair play for him to do so.

Exactly. No matter what he did to the Celtics, he has the right to do what's best for him. Why potentially hurt yourself by saying something you don't have to?

When I'm at work, I pretend to like everyone, even though I hate some of them. Maybe it's just me...

Offensively yes, defensively no.

He’s probably twice as good a rebounder - he’s as strong as Baynes - he doesn’t have the same defensive IQ at all and I’m not sure if he can hit that short midrange shot like Baynes did..

I don’t have a problem with it either. I definitely have issues with the guy, but he didn’t do anything wrong in that regard.

Another clear signal from the Kanter signing is this:

You want Robert Williams on the floor? There's no doubt that's going to happen now. Kanter's a low minute non-shotblocker. Barring a surprising new addition to the roster, Robert Williams will have to play and play well for the team to succeed.

Is it defensive IQ or effort? I'm not saying that he can all of a sudden learn to put in effort on D, but maybe we can at least teach him to stand in better spots? Maybe I'm being too optimistic...

Kanter's jump shot isnt bad, but it doesn't extend to 3. I think he's a career 29% shooter but volume is less than 1 a game.

Better rebounder and scorer. Not better on defence.

I saw some highlights where Kanter hit a mid range.. Maybe Brad asks him to shoot it a little but more

Both. Effort dipped on the Knicks I think

He seems like a high effort guy so I'd say it's more IQ related.

Noah was Draymond Green, before Green was Green if you know what I mean. He wasn't on a team that was as good and is very fragile. Still wouldn't mind him for the vet min. He's a 18-20 mins a game guy at best. A winner, no idea if he's that interested in b-ball anymore, tho.

What happened to this guy. He went from being a borderline star to not playing for over a year? Him and Deng are the weirdest bball declines ever. He just disappeared

Do not like 2nd year is player option ...he will have huge season number wise and imo bolt in next year fa.

But I really, really like this signing.

Ok, i'll bite. I would be ok with Noah at vet min as long as he knows playing time is not guaranteed and is ok with being a cheerleader some nights.

Yeah that's true. He should have plenty of motivation playing for a playoff-bound team though. Anyone would lose motivation playing for that Knicks team

Ok, I will.

So Afan called in, and he was making a lot of really coherent points. But Abby was all over the place with her questioning. It was almost like she had everything blocked. Like she wasn't really listening and then just saying random nonsense.

Let's just let that die please. There's been plenty of posts directed at one poster by now.

I wasn't trying to to direct anything at anyone. I'm new here. I think I just got caught up in all the hullabaloo. I think some of the older boys on here tricked me. I mean, how does someone even call into a podcast? I think that may have not been the real Abby Chin.

Low minute? I mean, how do you know? We’ll let Brad make that call. I think Kanter can play alongside RW3. If Kanter is in 2018 playoff mode Kanter could be high minute.

Why sign a guy who should have retired 3 years ago? There are actually NBA-level players who will play for vet min.
