I feel like adding Pierce in a potential deal is just PR, and for sentimental reasons. Dude is cooked, like vegetable cooked, soft carrot.

It's also a salary dump for them. They're very close to the hard cap so any salary then can shed is a bonus.

What do you want, the teams to take an ad out in the paper? You listen here. Russell Westbrook is getting traded before training camp. People are totally underestimating how screwed OKC is right now. Durant leaving them for nothing is catastrophic. Russell Westbrook is 100% out of there next summer, and there's not a goddamn thing that Presti can do about it.

Fortunately for their fans, he isn't a stupid SOB. He caught a bad break on KD, but this is a guy who traded Harden, Ibaka and Jeff Green a year early rather than a year too late. ALL of those deals came out of nowhere, and he WILL do the same with Westbrook this summer.

Not saying the Nets will finish last and that will turn into the 5th pick, but optimism/pessimism I'd like to think work both ways.

And yea, if they get to the ECF, it's a success. But it's highly unlikely they win this year.

Its a long long offseason. I doubt very much Presti lets RWB stay there on media day and training camp, he wants to avoid all media questions about RWB.

Its going to be rebuild for several years for OKC. So if Ainge is patient he doesnt need to give up the farm for RWB. Think a deal might take another month....at least to get done.

I am not your bud or your bro. I don't care whether your positive or negative. What I do care about is you and others just spamming this thread. I don't think this thing is really going to happen but I think there is probably something to it. What you and others are doing is essentially taking a big crap on the idea that trade discussions occur and perhaps every once in a while a little guy or a couple gets to come forward with some info that the big guys either don't have the story or have to sit on it. If your convinced that there are no talks going on then stay out of the thread you have made it clear how you feel.

I'd like to see them move on from Blake and deal for Noel, and then wear down Presti on Westbrook. I don't think Blake and Westbrook is much better than Noel and Westbrook considering they probably have to give up Crowder to get Blake. Griffin's a great talent, but very injury prone and doesn't really complement Westbrook.
