Oh please. The chances are much greater that Fultz will be the next Ben McLemore than the chances that he will become a superstar. I've watched a chunk of the publicly available film, and Fultz is not only a mediocre defender, he's an unwilling defender. Jalylen Brown put his finger on this a few weeks ago.

This trade also tells me that Ainge and Stevens really like Isaiah Thomas long term. If the had drafted Fultz, IT was a goner because there is no way that the two of them could be on the floor together.

I'm still hoping that the Celtics get a player out of the deal. Saric is too much to ask, but I'll take Richaun Holmes.

Taking a player destroys the max cap space, which is pretty much the only thing we can hang our hat on at the moment regarding losing out on Fultz.

Well, with protections, it would be hard to get either the LA pick OR the Sacramento pick to Boston anyway. So I'm not sure if it's functionally any different.

Either way, not a good look. Fultz needs to bomb.

If Danny moves down two spots in the draft and acquires Jimmy Butler/Paul Geoge for those two picks and Avery Bradley and Marcus Smart. While we keep #3 and the 2018 Brooklyn pick. Plus, We also sign Griffin or Hayward. That would be a crazy offseason.

So we can still be worse than the Cavs?

Well, if anything, maybe this trade will get rid of some of our astute posters. I mean, damn, I would have liked Fultz, but I don't know ****. I'm guessing Ainge does. I sure hope the sun comes up tomorrow.

It's okay to think ainge screwed up. We don't all have to buy into your dear leader ainge crap and criticize anyone who doesn't agree with everything he does.

Of course it is, and I'm wasn't referring to just anyone who was upset. It's the newbies who are crying. And don't care if people criticize Ainge. He's not my dad or brother. It is just the gut reaction people need to chill on. We all shall see if this works out. And if it does, the critics will be crickets. It's always that way.

I support this deal, mostly because I'm willing to give Ainge benefit of doubt in reading Fultz's ceiling here. However, if they treat the Lakers pick with any less reverence than they did this pick, I'm going to be aggravated.
