Crowder was pissed about the team - and fans - being so quick to dump him for Hayward. Could be a factor.

I think Grant Williams is looking ready for PF minutes, so dealing Theis gets easier. You just lose him as a small-ball 5, and I don’t know if that’s worth doing for Bertans or whoever.

Would anyone trade Hayward to Cleveland if it brought back Tristan Thompson and Darius Garland

Like, Hayward, Ojeleye, Wanamaker to Cleveland, TT, Garland and Knight or Henson (expirings) to Boston. You could try to turn Henson into Dedmon and trade Theis for Bertans..

Kemba/Smart/Garland/Waters
Jaylen/Langford/Green
Tatum/Bertans
Thompson/Grant Williams
Dedmon/Kanter/Rob Williams/Poirier/Tacko

Hayward to Chicago for Otto Porter and Wendell Carter Jr. - Bulls get a major veteran upgrade at the 3 to give structure to their young players - we downgrade on the wing but pick up a great 4/5 prospect.. could flip Porter for Adams, Drummond, hell, even Horford.

You can guarantee Presti would make that trade - Hayward for Adams gets more palatable for us adding SGA - the only question is whether Orlando is willing to give up on Bamba and Gordon so soon to add more scoring punch on the wing. They have the depth to do it - Isaac and Aminu at the 4, Vucevic at the 5- could send them Theis or Kanter too - and Fultz, Fournier and Hayward on the perimeter, with Ross as a sixth man..

You clearly don’t watch basketball if you’re putting Thompson at the 4.
That could quite possibly be the worst front court I’ve ever seen.

You’re kidding right ? You can’t be serious when you say you want to trade Hayward for Garland ?

It’s too bad. I liked a Crowder a lot here but he acted like such a baby about Hayward when Gordon was always a bigger threat to Avery. But Avery is a class act.
If we could do a mindwipe with him and Hayward I’d really like his effort off the bench.

What is it about the internet that makes people so confrontational?

If the choice is between keeping a max contract wing about to turn 30 alongside a 23 year old wing making 20+ million and a 22 year old wing about to get a max extension, or to deal the 30 year old for expirings, short-term bigs, and a blue chip point guard prospect on a rookie scale deal who we were rumored to be trying to trade up for in the draft...

I really don’t get it but I’m in the minority with my Hayward love. I just don’t see what some people don’t see in Gordon. Our offense would be choppy and ugly at times without Hayward . He’s our best facilitator. Brown and Tatum as good as they’ll be will likely never be the passer he is. Kemba isn’t even on that level.
I’ve been wrong so many times but trading Hayward for Adams, Drummond, Love is something I have no fear about. I don’t think I’d believe it was serious if Woj reported they were talking. I could be wrong once more but I have no fear Danny would make that mistake.

I just mention Love, Adams, Drummond because I think they are much better bigs than Dedmond of Thompson in my opinion. As far as Dedmond I think he isn’t worth the dough. He probably didn’t forget how to shoot but him going public for a trade would make me wary. I don’t want Love’s attitude here either. I think there’s a couple of egos on the Celts but they can manage them well thanks to Kemba.

Because it’s behind a keyboard and people can’t just disagree. They have to be insulting to strangers. Makes them feel better.

I wouldn’t want to swap Hayward for Adams or Drummond - but if they were half the value coming back in a deal I’d be interested in the idea..

Going to interesting to see if the Celtics pick up Javonte Green's contract for the remainder of the year or waive him and have an open roster spot. The deadline is 5:00 pm today.

There's no way Chicago would entertain this trade idea. WCJ is probably not going anywhere.
