Thanks for the info on Ray, didn't know about the second album.

And yeah, Colorado is ace.

"Wheels" is my all time fav though.

Sorry about the incorrect attribution.

There was a country rock revival in the late 60's, after the Byrds released "Sweetheart of the Rodeo." After the original Burrito Brothers broke up, Chris Hillman joined J.D. Souther and Richie Furay (from Buffalo Springfield) to form the Souther Hillman Furay Band. Then Furay joined Jim Messina and Rusty Young (on steel guitar) to form Poco.

To be a stickler, after Chris Hillman left the Burritos, he joined forces with Steve Stills. Manassas, remember?

Yes, their first album is really, really good. It is rumored that Jerry Garcia played on several of the cuts, but was never credited.

Jerry Maguire has been one of my favorite movies since I was super young and when I heard Free Fallin' in the movie for the first time, it became a mainstay of what I listened to on almost a daily basis.

RIP man. Tom Petty is one of the best ever.

On top of everything else of a tragic nature today.....

You just never know when it is your time?

I'm very sad to hear this news....He was indeed one of the best.....So many of my generation have now past.... Yet so many wonderful memories live on....

So it goes....

My favourite Petty album as well.

Of all the greats that have passed away in the last couple of years, he's the one I'll miss the most. One of the few of my all-time top 30 artists that I never saw live.

If you haven't seen "Runnin' Down a Dream" on Netflix, this would be a good time to do it. It's 4 hours well spent.

My favourite Tom Petty song:

Not dead yet, fellas. Erroneous reports. Holding on to life still.

EDIT: Now official. Damn. Petty had a big influence on me. One of my all-time favorites.

This is my favorite unheralded Tom Petty song despite the 80s production and seems to capture my mood today:

That said, this video, which was on MTV all the time when I was a kid and cable TV was new to my town, is still one of my all time favorite videos:

"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

That score on rotten tomatoes :o Definitely will be watching it next week due. The first one is one of my favorite movie so I'm hyped.

Saw it tonight. A+.

Long but incredible. A worthy sequel of a masterpiece, which is pretty rare.
