Last night's ESPN radio announcers said Romeo has left the bubble and is done for the season.

Oh snap, really? Dang. He must have really strained that thing. Cripes, he can't stay healthy.

That's too bad, if true. I haven't seen anything on him leaving the bubble, though.

I thought he had a groin injury. This wrist injury the one he suffered mid-August?

Yep, same one he suffered and planned to get surgery in the offseason anyway. I guess the groin injury was bad enough to rule him out for the season. They really didn't communicate that situation at all lol. He went from out for the game, to out for the season (and bubble) with no updates.

Hoping for a healthier season from Romeo in '21!

He should have gotten the surgery in August.

My GoogleFu varies based on the severity from 1-6 months for recovery.

I have to assume he has the minor one based on:

1) Not a key player to play through a real injury and not just get the surgery and see him in the following season

2) I guess that's it. That and I assume we'd lean on protecting our draft asset and hope that Grant or Semi could step up for someone that was out of the rotation.

So I'm guessing his recovery will be more in the 1-3 month timeline and since next season won't start till 2021 he should be just fine or near just fine around the start of the year.

There is of course a chance it already was the worst case 6 months version and they couldn't hurt it any more than it was... but he didn't seem to be wearing a wrap and even then I think they would have just had him get surgery and get started on recovery so he can be available as much as possible next year. So I think it's unlikely it's the 6 month bad case scenario recovery type of ligament issue.

Its unfortunate that he is hurt.

Its unfortunate that he is not an nba level player.

Its unfortunate that I cannot see him having any value at all outside a glimmer of hope of "potential"

Right wrist?

He can practice dribbling left handed. He can practice finishing around the basket left handed. He can play defense with one hand behind his back.

Just stick around the team and keep getting practice reps. Stay in the gym. Watch film. Stay active, stay learning, stay hungry.

We'll see you in year two, with a few more pounds of muscle.

Buckners not to jack the thread but lemme know where to send my Tacko fan club membership dues. I don’t need him to pass Rob Williams but I do need to see him get a real shot at playing real minutes. Is that BOLD enough? To play against I don’t know the Hornets and Hawks next season?

Sir, on behalf of playa-hater, I accept your membership on the bandwagon. Getting in on the stock while at the ground floor is noted.

Why he will be out next season? next season will start in January at earliest, if he misses next season that means he will miss 10-12 months or even more.

They're saying his recovery will carry over in to the start of next season, not that he'll miss it all.
