Re: 2022 NBA Draft Thread – (June 23rd, 8PM, ESPN)
well, i got last year's pick right. i guess not this year haha
Davison is what you call an upside swing. High energy, high athleticism, he's explosive. he's kind of like a taller nate robinson. he is really quick, can get by his man with ease and either get to the rim or dish it to the open man. decent shooter from 3. he's young, only 19. was a 5 star recruit out of HS.
has some issues on defense.
down the road, potentially could be a really good, explosive, high energy combo guard.
not ready now though. so we'll give him a 2-way contract. he'll be a highlight reel guy in the g-league and maybe eventually could be a really exciting player for us.
Makoundou is way better though. jabari walker or barlow would have also been a better pick too. but oh well.
it could eventually end up being a really good pick. but davison could also end up being a disaster. cause his shooting is shaky, he turns it over a lot, he has some defensive issues. so it's an upside swing, but it might also turn out to be a waste of a pick. we'll see..

Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything

Well we picked someone not on your big board, but his hair makes him look a little like big bird.
he's on there at #60

The one here?

Has elite physical traits, along the lines of a Steve Francis, DSJ or Westbrook but plays more like a shooting guard/wing and so is a bit undersized for that position.

He was picked at 53 it’s not a disaster if he fails. Those guys look like they will go undrafted.

If Kai Sotto goes undrafted, bring him in for a look.

Re: 2022 NBA Draft Thread – (June 23rd, 8PM, ESPN)
Here are some positives about him.
1. Freshman
2. 6'3, so he isn't small for a PG.
3. Explosive. Has bounce to his game.
4. 3 point shot looks good, even though he only shot 30% from 3.
5. SEC All-Freshman
I still felt like there were better players on the board.

So Smart trade confirmed? Even if he pops they already have Smart, White, and PP., not to mention Yams…..why not tale a flyer on someone with a higher ceiling that could actually see the floor?

Maybe he can re-teach Tatum how to finish at the rim.

Awful pick. Was so painful with Barlow still on the board
So many great players available where we would have picked in the first round. Depressing day to be a Celtics fan watching all our rivals improve

Isnt he 6’ 0”? Thats small. Might make up for it with his athleticism but he is small.
