Horford + Crowder for Turner (Pacers prob need to add a filler here to make salaries work, which we could flip with a minor asset to a trash team)

Use the 17 pick, sign Hayward and Griffin outright

IT/Fultz
Bradley/Smart
Hayward/Brown
Griffin/Yabu or whoever
Turner/Zizic

Contend now, and contend later with Fultz/Brown/Turner/ZIzic/Smart/Yabu.

I like the idea of going after Turner. How about this deal?

Only if Portland starts an IT/Lillard/McCollum lineup

A scenario if we get the first pick and are able to draft Fultz and we crash out against Bulls in the play-offs:

IT and Crowder for Rubio and MIN pick (take Isaac)
Horford and Bradley for McCollum, Ezeli and POR pick
POR pick and Rozier for Hezonja
give max to Alex Len

Fultz/Rubio/Jackson
McCollum/Smart
Brown/Hezonja/Nader
Isaac/Yabusele/Mickey
Len/Zizic

tank hard the next season with both our and BKN pick

Understand your frustration but that's too much. Maybe one of those guys a BKN pick and cap filler (Zeller, 2nd rnder). I would think Larry would want one of Crowder (because of his great contract) or Jaylen (his potential) over Smart and Bradley. If Fultz is on the board for us forget it. Any other player, sure, probably. Some of those other guys can be moved to fill other needs.

It's a lot for sure but those guys just aren't cutting it in the playoffs. We'll see if they can turn it around and win this series. While we send a lot out in the trade we would have max cap space and IT, George, Horford on the roster when we go into a meeting with Hayward or Blake. I feel confident we would walk away with one of them. Plus Brown and Brooklyn 18 to either develop for the future or use in another big trade.

Not cutting it is one thing. Burning assets when they could be utilized more judiciously is another. Gutting our defensive core all with one trade is yet another thing.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

Ok since I'm so bummed about tonight's abomination. Here is my fool proof plan in which everything goes perfect for Boston this off-season.

Boston lands the #1 pick. We pick Fultz.

During the draft we trade Avery Bradley and Indiana trades the #18 pick to Minnesota. We trade Crowder, Rozier and Boston 2018 pick to Pacers. Minnesota ships #6 pick to Indiana. We get Paul George. We pick up some $ coming in but is mostly off-set by moving Bradley, Rozier and Crowder. Think it's within 1.5-2 mil. Basically we cut bait with all the pending FA's and non guaranteed deals. (So Jerebko, Amir, Zeller, Mickey, Young, DJ all gone along with Bradley, Rozier and Crowder). Still have a lot of cap space. Zizic comes in, likely team has Yasbule remain out for now. I'd use the remaining cap space to try to sign JJ Reddick and Alex Len. With the remaining 3-2nd round picks draft older college guys who maybe able to come in and fill a role. Dillon Brooks, Josh Hart, Jon Motley, Alec Peters, Cameron Oliver, Luke Kornet types. May not make team, but maybe will become guys who could have a small role.

Starting group
IT/Reddick/George/Horfod/Zizic or Len
Fultz/Smart/Brown/2nd round pick Let's just say it's Motley for PF sake. and Len or Zizic.

At times you could go IT/Smart/Reddick/George/Horford or IT/Fultz/Brown/George/Horford or IT/Reddick/Brown/George/Horford. Lots of options IMO. Zizic and Len could offer size and help defensive end.

Some C's fans have this weird obsession with him, I don't get it either.

He's average at best to me

This team would be beastly and would easily take the east if you guys traded one pick plus brown for Paul George and the other and a guy like Bradley or crowder for porzinges from the knicks

Also like to add trade horford for a big physical center who can protect the rim and cleanup the boards

That team would have 3 guys that can hit game winners and 3 guys you have to double it's not possible to guard because IT would be running around causing havoc with wide open threes from playing off ball

Trade Jae Crowder, Tyler Zeller, Terry Rozier, Al Horford for players with a big heart.
Let Olynyk sign a $15 millions/year deal with the Nets.
Let Amir go to the retirement home.
Keep Marcus (big heart, playmaker), Isaiah (no need to explain), Avery (good contract, good player) and Jaylen (still have hopes in him).
Draft Jackson or Fultz, or trade the pick.
Tell to Danny that rebounding is important, so he needs to draft/sign players above 6'5.
Tell Brad that he is not in college anymore. Rotations are bad, teach your players how to box out and put them on the bench if they don't play hard.

Trade horford for a defensive center who can rebound and has good hands for dump offs and lobs and you got yourself a team what will give the warriors a run for there money

Also Paul George is a better fit because he's a much better shooter

Again very soft team as a whole, we need toughness Porzingod averages around 7 boards a game. Very pedestrian on boards.
Good assessment:

All eyes on the draft lottery.

If we get 1, keep it and take Fultz. That helps with the shooting and 2nd creator problem. Zizic coming over should help on the boards and overall lack of toughness.

If it wouldn't be free agent suicide, I wish so badly we could move Horford. I'm just simply not a fan and I've been saying it all year. He's best suited as a 4, but he's too slow to defend modern 4's on the other end.

If we don't get 1, I'll just pistol whip myself.
