I've never heard of Speed either. I'm assuming he's really fast?

So, people told me he races people who call him out, mainly regular fans. That’s all I know. I guess that’s fun or w/e, I’m not hating on these streamers because make that money, but it’s not my ministry.

Did JB win the race?

Technically, yes. There is controversy though. Speed thought he won because he touched some guy’s hand, but that wasn’t the end mark. He also pulled up because of a tight hammy, but continued to touch that hand. JB was neck and neck with him, then SPEED’S CAMERAMAN got into JB’s way which slowed him, Speed got the lead but he stopped when he thought he won at the hand. JB kept going to the spot they sorta “agreed” to at the start, so everybody, including the great majority of Speed’s fans, said JB won.

I was reading along and no one really agreed with Speed winning until he kept arguing to the chatters that he won. He was very upset about, argued for a long time. Forced his guys to find different answers angles because he really thought the hand meant he won. He sorta admitted he lost after watching all the videos because he saw that hand was just a fan. Still said the hammy pull up was why he didn’t win.

Another crazy thing, JB’s feed went dead when the race ended. Turns out someone/the crowd knocked his cameraman over, the camera flew and broke. Apparently, whatever flew out of the camera was the worst thing that could come out and break (i don’t know). The wild part is that the camera was a rental. The way Speed and his guys were talking about it, the piece that came out was horrible luck and I’m just guessing by the chatter, no one said, it’s going to cost a pretty penny.

In conclusion, he won and lost.

Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

He didn't mix it up..he made a joke.

There's someone with the name Jalen Brown..so he spells his first name slightly different. And he is a high school basketball player who just got a scholarship offer from Cal - the school Jaylen Brown played for.

So the kid made a tweet announcing that he got the scholarship offer and in the tweet he put a picture of the Jaylen Brown in a Cal jersey..

He probably thought the tweet would go viral which would lead to more buzz, more hype around him and maybe more scholarship offers. The tweet is now at 171K views in less than 24 hours.

You think that he made a joke?
Seems disingenuous.

Yes..seems pretty obvious. His name is Jalen Brown..he got an offer from Cal, where Jaylen Brown played college ball.

Which is ironic..so he pointed out the irony of it by including a picture of Jaylen Brown in a Cal jersey in his tweet announcing that he received the scholarship offer.

I mean, his name is Jalen Brown and he's a top high school basketball recruit. I'm sure that for the past 9 or so years of his life, he's had people making jokes and saying stuff to him about his name and the all-star NBA player who has the same name - 1 letter off..so it's probably not the first time he's made a joke about it :)

Even while battling through a hamstring injury to start the season, Jaylen Brown is bringing the effort on both sides of the basketball.

Brown is limiting opponents to 32 percent shooting while defending 12.5 shot attempts per game, the third-best mark in the league among all players defending at least 10+ shots, per NBA defensive tracking data.

Brown is holding opponents to 10.5 percent below expected output on those shots.

Love how they're not trying to turn him into a point forward like Tatum. Just lean on him as a scorer, and encourage him to develop ALL the other areas of his game as well -- defensive consistency, ball-movement consistency (he *has* made some very nice passes, but he's not trying to overdo it), contributions to team rebounding, maybe more vocal leadership (defensively? and all-around, maybe, idk on this honestly) (I assume defensive vocal leadership is needed without Al or Luke out there any more, but idk about that either I guess)

Also: he's shooting a ridiculously high % to start the season, if that could keep going it'd be great:)

Yep. I expected this to be a disastrous experiment, but the guy is playing possibly the best basketball of his career. Small sample, but still very, very impressive.

He's been great!

If had a minor complaint, it'd be the turnovers, if JB could finagle better ball control/decision making, he'd be in the mix for 2nd team All NBA ... but still he's been great

Right now:
Jokic
Luka
Wemby
Giannis
SGA

clearly the best five, but JB could be in the mix after that
