I expect Nesmith to be one of the best SGs in the league, so we have that SG spot covered long term...

Danny needs to bring an exorcist into TD garden . He’s had an unusual run of bad luck lately.

We're at $119.1M (assuming Teague is BAE), well below the tax line, if we're done. Green non-guaranteed until February I think.
I think Teague will sign for the vet min
Then it's $118M total salary.
Waters and Pritchard may have a fun camp battling it our for 3rd string ball handling minutes. Could be key if Kemba needs some maintenance time off.

My concern is that the Sixers "entertained" the idea for us last year too but obviously did not help out.
I don't think the Sixers had to. Charlotte doesn't have to either, but it means stretching Batum, which I doubt they would prefer to do if they can help it.
Charlotte's position is much more motivating to do it than the Sixers last year.
Last year was weird because to sign Walker we needed to be able to clear the cap space so at that point any TPE from Horford and or Horford's Bird Rights would have been renounced. Similar to this situation then the TPE talk can happen because the deal doesn't depend on it. CHA having to waive and stretch Batum is a cap killer. I don't see us getting a huge TPE out of this I think it will be Zeller's expiring deal and then a TPE for the remaining amount of salary. I could see us sending some of our end of bench guys to them so we can free up some roster spots and they can fill out their roster.
There are going to be useful NBA vets looking for a home and rosters are filling up.

More interested in the exception. While usually I think they're completely worthless, one pushing almost 30 mil is almost unheard of.
Would be nice. Let’s hope MJ is in a good mood today.
Otherwise we’re due for another kick in the nuts.

Giannis's salary fits right into the Hayward TPE if we get no salary back in the Hornets S&T. Also, Al Horford. LOL.

This offseason has given me the gum disease gingivitis.
For some reason I had my heart set on Christian wood who ended up signing with Houston

Lets just hope that kick in the nuts isn't taking on Batum, Zeller or Rosier's salary. I'm not sure we could do that since we have already used the full MLE.
Give them a 2nd rounder we're getting from Memphis. NO PLAYERS TAKEN BACK, unless it is in a 3 team deal and it is a salary less than 8 million.

Any chance the Celtics can shake Eric Gordon loose?

I wouldn't have minded Craig for the minimum but we can't have anything nice.

BTW, Hornets can just engage some other team to dump salary and not involve us at all. Then sign Hayward outright once they clear enough cap space. No TPE for us in that case. Just some salty tears and those stains on the wall from the **** I keep throwing.

For the love of all that is precious, we don't want Eric Gordon and his horrible contract. Let him rot in Houston.

Re: Trade Thread #8: All Gordon things come to an End
Ordinarily I would say there is no real need to rush to finalize the deal between Hayward and CHA you can work on it over time. But this is such a bad idea for both sides that if I am Hayward's agent I want that thing signed immediately. At some point the Hornets are going to realize that they are paying 120 mil to Gordon Hayward and still be a lottery team and at some point Gordon Hayward is going to realize that he just agreed to play for a lottery team for what is left of the prime of his career.
Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Even in that case, nothing preventing it from being formatted as a S&T. Very curious to see if they turn down the free pick just to spite us. Hard for me to imagine an FO actually conducting business that way - intentionally harming themselves to spite another team. But you never know. Humans are weird.

Sucks for anybody who wants him to be at his basketball best.
Think yall should reconsider your random hot take that a female would be responsible for Tatum's hypothetical performance.
Plus he has a girl.
Kardashians + basketball players is pretty much a meme. Small sample size, which is why the comment was lighthearted, but on that basis I'm not going to apologize for making it.
Banned temporarily for, among other sins, being "Extremely Deviant".

Hornets would have to find new ownership if they renege

Not that I blame him but Gordon clearly went for the money, I think he realizes he may not see the playoffs for the foreseeable future.

Have to be healthy for the playoffs to play in them anyway.
