Yea for sure.
I thought we lucked out when LAC took Yanic Konan Niederhauser but then I realized YKN fits probably better with Harden as a lob threat w/ upside.

Us having the choice of at least 2 of Kalk, Raynaud, and Fleming ... we can still get a big tomorrow
Id be stunned if we don't take one of these 3 dudes manana

Picking the player they wanted first, knowing some of the bigs will still be there tomorrow.

I know some people feel like he's not that bright. When draft media talk about his lack of feel, they use a lot of coded words where they are really just saying he is not a bright individual... but I mean, come on, Rocky Balboa wasn't the smartest guy in the room but he was a great champion... im only half joking. Fleming should have been selected, it's a mystery

Every single NBA team passed on him which should tell you something.

true.
Sometimes I think about Jrue's cutting in the 2024 playoffs and it just makes me smile, thats how good Jrue was moving in space

Last years team was short on cutting so I'm glad thats one of the skills Brad singled out about Gonzalez

Jrue was probably also our best cutter, even last year.

Finally the lack of cutters being talked about.

I brought it up this season and it wasn't taken seriously.

And also 4% of his salary will go to Lebron's friend group ... that can be tough to accept

I'd still draft him tomorrow though. An elite rolling physical 3-4-5 playing off Jayson Tatum who made Daniel Theis look like a $36 million dollar player. Fleming has serious Tari Eason potential.

Id take a chance on it... but it is concerning nobody wanted to take him

Could end up being someone like Alex Caruso.

Makes me think of Avery Bradley.

As long as we don’t take Kalkbrenner I’ll be happy. Talk about big stiff…

I wouldn’t personally take any of the big men on the board and would like Thiero the most as another wing to develop. I’d rather go for a min big in FA

It’s interesting that Egor went top 10 while Hugo has been the better player every step along the way when they were playing together at Real Madrid and for Spain.

Clearly it worked out for Egor to go to BYU (which they wanted Hugo to do as well but he declined). But I think the Celtics just forgot a big upside guy here

Agreed on Kalk. Thiero was on my short list, but I think with taking Hugo it just doesn't make sense. I don't think you can give enough reps to develop Baylor, Hugo, Walsh and Thiero. I'm leaning:

Rasheer Fleming
Noah Penda
Maxime Raynaud

Logic points to Brad drafting a big tomorrow.

But with Brad, I don't really know anymore. So it's probably gonna be a wing or guard.

Brad will gamble on Proctor, Lanier, Javon Small. Take Penda if he is available (maybe the end of the Walsh experiment with him and Hugo here)
Or trade out for future draft picks

He'll probably sign Al and Kornet so no glaring need for another big. Continue developing Queta and maybe get Omoruyi to play in SL and sign him to a two-way contract

Oh, I just remembered - Brad will take Dink Pate. A 5 star recruit formerly projected to be a lottery pick
He love those

This is why Brad won't be drafting a big tomorrow.

We're gonna ride or die on the backs of 39-year-old Horford and Luke freaking Kornet.

In the first answer of the press conference, Brad focused on Hugo's cutting.

In the second to last answer, he did it again.

Banned temporarily for, among other sins, being "Extremely Deviant".

I’m not sure who were picking at 32 but I know one thing is for certain.

When that name is called:
- I’m going to do a 20 second scramble to figure out who this player even is
- Quickly draw a prediction on the maximum career upside of a teenager
- Share opinion on RGM
- Criticize Brad just because
156-1 Celtics are frauds when pressure is put on them. They would have been toast if Luka was not stupid enough to foul himself out. Enjoy this ONE finals win. There will never be another with the Js and the Celtics cant afford stacked team.
