A Nets run away from a worst case scenario, IMO.
we don't get Dallas' pick if it's between 15-30.

nope its only top 7 protected this year.

I took a look today and it is waaaaaay too early for this, but as of now the Celtics would have:

Pick 4 (Brooklyn)
Pick 14 (own)
Pick 18 (Dallas)
Pick 31 (Philadelphia)
Pick 39 (Minnesota)
Pick 48 (Dallas through Memphis)
Pick 57 (Cleveland)
Pick 58 (Miami)

No way any team needs 5 second picks. I'd start packaging stuff together with players and try to get better, established players or better picks.

Not to nitpick, but not quite accurate. Left out the Mavs pick, and the Nets are currently 4th worst in winning percentage. There is also a 6-way tie for 15th worst, with both the Celts and Mavs picks in that range.

No question we need to consolidate picks, but the problem is that other teams know that.

At the very least we need to push those picks forward. Swap with teams who want a second round pick but get one back 3-4 years from now. Very curious to see how Ainge will manage this situation.

We can let go of Lee, Zeller and Turner to open up space for our Brooklyn pick, our pick and the Mavs pick. If we really need another roster spot we can cut Young and eat the cap hit.

Of course trading up is preferred. Mavs pick, Boston pick, 2nds and one of Young or Rozier will hopefully get us to the top 10.

Really bad copy and paste error by me. I've corrected the OP. Good catch.

Mostly, I wanted to point out all the seconds. That is just ridiculous.

Couldn't do it last year with all 4 being 1sts.... what makes you think you'll do it with a lesser offer ?? just sayin'

Definitely seeing DA being able to move some of those 2nds though, probably can turn PHI + for a late 1st if you want.

Every year is a different set of circumstances. There's no guarantee we will be able to trade up that's why I said hopefully. There are examples of teams trading multiple picks for a higher one in the past. Something like 15, 17 and 31 for 9 or 10 seems realistic

Then Steph did Steph things at the end of the 3rd. Now GSW bench stepping up. This is over. I hope Indy loses so we can get a crack at the Warriors.

It's a totally fallacious argument. Ie, it didn't work once so it will not be possible in the future. Logical fallacy.

Dubs have that Lakers streak in mind. I think we have a good chance to beat them IF Smart makes it back which i doubt.

They are thin and its a long season - don't count them out yet. I still see 13-17 as their most likely finishing range. The West will start to improve its balance eventually as well.

UTAH, LAC, HOU and MEM can all pass Dallas and it wouldn't be that surprising. The problem is that all the current non playoff teams out west are below .500. We would need one of Portland, Denver, Sacramento, Minnesota or Phoenix to pass them and it's tough to see that happening.

I'm loving the Nets near-perfect run of health hitting its first snag with the RHJ injury. If he's out against Philly, I'm expecting great things.

My recap, BTW.
