This is my top choice. Wiseman had a strong showing against us last year and there’s still raw talent that can be harvested in the right place. For a vet min flier I’m all for it

Somewhere around this number would be fair imo for Sam if we intend to keep him for entire run. Higher number of course could net you higher salaried player in case he gets traded as soon as next summer.

Like I like Theis but seriously that’d be some pure silliness to decline Queta, the much more impactful player, to open a roster spot for Theis.

So, the Celtics declined Queta's option in order to negotiate a long term contract with him. Also they picked up Hauser's option in order to negotiate a long term contract with him.

The collective bargaining agreement makes my brain hurt.

Celtics did same thing with Hauser two years ago. Turned down team option to sign him to a longer deal.
