That's a good trade. Had to get off Jrue anyway. I guess it begins...

Resign Kornet and 2 cheap mins and that pretty much does it.

Simons expires as WCJ extension kicks in for 26-27.

Not sure if it works on ATL’s end (or Boston’s downstream either) but the one that popped in my head was Simons to ATL for Terrance Mann.

Saves another $10M plus gets the guy on the longer term contract Brad loves. Idk though Boston might not be able to handle Mann’s longer term money.

Plus seems like getting Simons down to a sub 10M would be ideal but who knows he could go tomorrow or at the deadline tough to say.

Though he could be a version of why I wanted PJ Washington, maybe they can make him look good and up his value for the deadline.

Simons solves a number issues.

His handles are great.

He drives to the basket and finishes with both hands.

And he's also fast.

This is one of Brad's best trades.

Ps Jrue was the man!

Cool dude and helped win a title felt like it should have been two but will always love that guy for the years he was here.

Ehh let’s not go that far. His defense is going to make you wish for Kyrie back there. He sucks defensively. I also believe he’s not sticking around. We’ll see.

There's always a trade off.

But if you want to beat OKC, you need a guy like Simons.

His shot making ability is elite.

And the beauty of this trade is he's an expiring.

If they don't think he's a good fit then they can move him at the deadline.

But if he's a good fit, the Cs have his Bird rights.

It’s easy to find the good in a player when they’re on a trash team.

We're not talking production because his stats must be inflated because he's on a bad team.

I've seen him on NBA TV a few times.

The shot making ability and handles is what JT is lacking.

Simons is silky smooth on offense.

Nobody's complaining about Haliburton's bad defense.

Offense still trumps defense in the game of basketball.

In Game 4 against the Knicks, the Celtics couldn't score in crunch time.

I think Celtic fans will end up loving Simons once the season is in full swing.

Getting Simons makes me think Brad is heavily listening to Derrick White trade offers.

Then you see that Bam blurb and wonder if Miami is tired of missing out and will go full rebuild. Bam and Tatum are close, is there anyway he can turn KP and White into enough assets that can bring in Bam?

Pritchard
Simons
Brown
Bam
Horford

Maybe I’m still dreaming.

I'm sorry but that is some grade A nonsense.

JT lacking handles and shot making ability??

Objectively, at his size, how many guys have better handles and shot-making ability?

Don't get me wrong, having more handles and shotmaking on the team is always nice, but not because JT lacks in that department, what the hell does he make 4x all nba 1st in a row for?

Excellent trade getting off of Jrue Holiday’s contract. I always thought it would be an expiring contract. I thought maybe squeeze out a 1st round pick but two 2nd round picks is fine

Could this be setting it up so Brad could get a haul for White? (He's a year younger than White was when Brad traded for him.)

Does Brad think that with less of an offensive burden Simons could be brought along to play better D and be a more complete player?

What are PP and JD thinking today?

Does Brad move him for something else?

The timing of the Jrue trade makes me wonder. My seat belt is already fastened but I expect whiplash.

There is a massive difference between the ceiling Hali had and the ceiling Simons has. Massive. Even when he was in Sacramento, you always looked at him as your best scoring option by far. Simons not so much. But yeah he won’t kill your offense, although this is going to empower Joe to shoot more 3s. That’s scary.

Just wondering Hauser Simons and 28 to Brooklyn for 8 would work under CBA rules since it gets under the 2nd apron. Interesting. Something like this is probably the play.

Then potentially a Porzingis extension at slightly under market value.

They aren’t moving White or Brown unless it’s for something insane where they can be a contender when Tatum comes back.

You're preaching to the choir.

I'm one of JT's biggest fan.

It's true JT's handles are much improved, but it's not as smooth as Simons'.

JT's shot making ability is great, but he's inefficient.

The low 3pt shooting % the last 2 seasons is proof of that.

4x All-NBA is because JT is more than just about scoring and shooting, he's a complete player.

If you're expecting the Cs to get in the lottery this week, you'll be disappointed.

Simons will not be moved any time soon.

According to reports, KP will be gone soon.

If the Cs are moving KP, that means they're keeping Simons.

The reports haven’t said he’s not being moved anytime soon it’s that they made the move with keeping him in mind but they’re open. Moving KP at his lowest value when you don’t need to is something that is a choice, not a good choice but it’s a choice. It’s also one that could potentially piss off Brown since that’s his guy.
