Damn, just when you think you have an elementary understanding of the cap currently, there is another wrinkle. How do they come up with this stuff? Or why for that matter?

The C's don't really need or that much want a real scoring center: already they've got almost a great a scorers crunch as they had last season. And there are a slew of serviceable, primarily D-oriented centers out there, so one of them, at least, will be available cheap within a couple of weeks. And, having someone like that will be the best thing for TimeLord too.

While a rim protector is our primary goal for a center, it wouldn’t hurt to have a post up presence in our team as well. It will give us different options on offense, and open up things for kemba and the rest.

He takes things a step farther than I would by trading Smart, Brown, Yabu and the Memphis pick for Brad Beal.

Still, really good breakdown of how the trade would work. Really not all that complicated, and all three teams would benefit from doing it, so not understanding why it's getting **** on by some media guys.

Ya know, I liked everything I was reading until the hard cap part. Our center depth would be Theis, Williams, and Tacko Fall. I'm not comfortable with Theis as our #2 guy. Big Bob Williams would have to really step up his game if this was our final roster.
