I wouldn't be surprised if Barnes becomes available in the next year or two now that Golden State has Iguodala. But if he has a good season building upon the promise showed in last years playoffs and the Warriors consider trading him, I think its more likely that they will want to package him and one of their bigs for a significantly better big from perhaps a team that decides to rebuild. Unlike OKC when they traded Harden, the Warriors don't really have major cap problems. They signed Bogut for a contract that I don't think he will live up to but they have Curry signed at a bargain price if he is able to keep up his play from the past couple of seasons.

It's funny but I really don't think James Harden was any better last year then he was his last year with OKC. It's obviously sometimes harder to play with defenses focused more on you and a higher scoring burden but his last year with OKC, his scoring efficiency was pretty spectacular. He scored more last year but his shooting efficiency went down quite a bit. I actually think the Harden trade was an absolute no brainer for Houston and I still question why OKC didn't try a bit more to keep him. IMHO you have to admit a mistake an amnesty Perkins before giving Harden an excuse of not resigning because of money. I would have even traded Westbrook first.

Even though it made sense like McHale coming off the bench for the Celtics made sense in the early 80', I think OKC made a mistake asking Harden to sacrifice some money in contract negotiations while he had already been sacrificing by coming off the bench despite IMHO being OKC's second best player. OKC probably valued Harden for less then what he was really worth since they had Durant but I think that was the wrong way too look at it.

The three players I'd like to see us trade for to put with rondo are Kevin love, Eric Gordon and omar asik.

We would have scoring, rebounding and defence. All driven by rondo.

Its not an obvious championship team but if I had those three plus someone like parker at the 3 then it's peachy.

Rondo
Gordon
Parker - drafted
Love
Asik

Traded away..Sullinger, Bradley, Jeff green, Lee,picks

I agree, and wouldn't be surprised to see Danny tries to get him at the trade deadline this year. It will depend on what GS needs this season to make a run.

Danny Ainge should try to get Jimmer Fredette. Kings haven't exercised his option, he got a DNP yesterday and it's a clear sign they want to listen to the offers.

Would a Brooks + second rounder do it? They got rid of Evans, so, they don't want to take that kind of player. They could want to take Courtney Lee for Outlaw and Fredette. Sac gets a good veteran player for two guy who they see useless. For us it's getting Jimmer and Outlaw's contract is a year shorter and 2 mil./per year cheaper.

Jimmer could be a useful 3rd or 4th guard on a good team or a trading chip who's value could be increased. Sacramento was a bad fit for him and now they got McLemore so he won't be a top prospect for them any more.
Ainge can relate to Jimmer's struggles as he went through similar problems during his first years in the league.

I'd love to see us go after Barnes. I just don't know how we could go about it.

Wallace, Avery, and Bass for Barnes, Jermaine O'Neal, and the Trade exception they have would be beautiful though if Wallace is decent this year. I doubt they do that deal though. However if they did they'd be quite full of potential going into the playoffs with an improved defense and added depth I guess.

For Barnes, would probably have to give up sullinger. GS needs another big man. But since the Warriors core is locked up for a few years adding a contract dump in Bass, lee, or Wallace won't do any harm towards them, would only add depth and solid role players since most of their team contracts ends in 3 years.

Bingo...Hayward is poised for a monster season. I hate UFA's though. You get your hopes up when you sign someone to an offer sheet, only to have the players current team match the salary. Such a tease.

Id be ok giving them Sullinger. Maybe have them throw im something small.

If they had Curry/Klay/Iggy/Lee/Bogut and Douglas/Avery/Wallace/Sully/Bass/Speights/Ezeli they would be in great shape

Stevens will give us a huge advantage in going after Hayward. Problem is not having enough cap space to sign him. This team is locked up for a couple years unless Ainge gets some deals done.

They have Hayes and Landry and Thompson signed long-term. And Patterson's cheap and expiring. Why would they want Bass?

BOS
Trades Brandon Bass, Courtney Lee, Marshon Brooks and 2014 1st RD'er (BKN)

TOR
Trades Amir Johnson and Landry Fields

Why:

Boston shaves off a year of future salary and upgrades Bass. They pay for the right to do so.

I like that trade Pogue, get some awkward photos of TOR GM and I think you might have a deal.

I really would like to get Evan Turner out of PHI. Don't know what it would take maybe Bradleyand that same '14 Nets pick.

Derozan and Ross are both nice players and would add scoring.. we have too many shooting guards already, but Derozan's more of a slasher and Ross has potential..

Is upgrading from Bass to Amir worth a first? Not saying no, just not sold on it.

Is Amir Johnson capable of being that Taj Gibson style bench 4/5 with plus rebounding, rock solid D and capable garbage man offense? He's got the physical gifts, but his impact always seems to be a little wanting.

Cost of upgrade + TOR taking on Courtney Lee's extra season.

Eric Bledsoe; Greg Monroe & Gordon Hayward -- They'll all be FA's. And are all 23 years old. I say trade for them, if feasible. Or, go after them in Free Agency.
