Re: Proposed 2017-18 Celtics Roster?
If the raps also disappoint this post season, would anyone consider trading next year's Brooklyn pick, Crowder, Rozier and other fillers for Derozen? I am not 100 sold on him as being worth this year's pick but I may take the gamble for next year. I think he has the potential to be a good go to guy as he has shown but he is missing something.

I gave you an And-1 for two reasons;
1. I kind of agree questioning it but it seems to me Danny really values Kelly. I'd be pretty surprised if he let him go for nothing. Amir, on the other hand, I'd be thrilled to replace him with a better option but I'm not sure who that might be with just the Room MLE at our disposal in this scenario. Danny might just be happy to bring as much of our roster back as he can to keep some continuity if he can't find a clear cut improvement. I admit, I'd love to see Amir in a reserve role.
2. Ryan Reynolds is awesome.

I guess there is about 15% chance of a trade going down. if Brown, the Pick and one of Bradley / Crowder are involved there is still possibly room to have max free agent space.
assuming no trade or a trade that sends enough out to retain cap space, I would assume hard pursuit of FAs Griffin and Hayward. if one decides to sign, Ainge has to make a ton of roster moves including releasing Bird rights to Olynyk, stashing Yabasule again, and something else, either trading Rozier for Picks or stashing Zizic. I think maybe 10% chance unless we do trade for George or Butler. and retain space...then maybe 35% chance.
assuming no trade and no max FA the Cs have near 19 million in cap space without tossing Olynyk in the **** and other moves mentioned above. I would assume considering a decent big man FA that falls into that Salary range...not sure who that is
I would like to think maybe 40-50% chance if nothing else goes down.
if we use the space then can sign a midlevel guy starting at 8 million if anyone out there appeals.
I am betting on this for next year, but hoping for better.
Thomas / Smart / Jackson
Bradley / Fultz / Rozier
Crowder / Brown / Nader
Horford / Yabusele / Mickey
Zizic / Olynyk / overpaid FA big
assuming some 2nd rounders get stashed or 2-way contracts.
I'd rather max Zach Randolph or Jamychal Green for the year than bring back Olynyk.
To me this roster either has Isaiah, Horford, a star from trade and a star from free agency or it has a straight up youth movement.
If we want to stay im the middle like we have been, maybe try to use Jae and AB to get Marc Gasol?..I think the guy has a good 4 or 5 seasons left in him and we could probably get him without giving up Brown or the BKN picks.
Isaiah, Fultz, Brown or Brown, Tatum, Horford and Gasol
Rozier, Smart, Nader, Yabu and Zizic. **** it. Just need to see this roster with real talent or real star power. **** the role player bs.
i would be on board with making an offer at Green for sure. Randolph turns 36 this summer....not sure that would be a wise signing. Gasol is a tough call for me. Obviously great this year and probably has a couple years left. He is 32 now...so 4-5 seems really optimistic.

I agree that Ainge really values him and that really upsets me. Olynyk needs to leave. He sucks. Ainge has to admit defeat on another blown pick. Amir is cooked. At this point I'd rather play Mickey and he sucks too. Reality is Amir is vet min worthy. A 5th big on the rotation.
And yes..he really is. Have u seen the deadpool 2 teaser? Loved it. Dude is just so funny to me. Lol

Yeah, Olynyk is probably the most frustrating player on this roster. I get why he loves him due to his skillset but that doesn't always show up in games & there's points in the game he's impossible to play because of his foul rate as well.
I haven't even see the first Deadpool!

Yeah i completely gave up on the guy. At this point I expect from him what I expect from Young or Mickey. Nothing.
Do watch it man..I really enjoyed it. But I enjoy anything with Ryan in..found a way to survive thru Green Lantern just because of him lol

Proposed 2017-18 Celtics Roster?
Gerald Green makes a good argument, with his play.
But, I don't think that we'll have any space for him?

Appreciative of Gerald's contributions but would rather give Nader a shot than bring back Green. I think he can fill that role adequately.

PG: Jeff Teague
SG: IT4
SF: Crowder
PF: Milsap
C: Horford
We combine the power of small ball with our custom Hawks lineup, Crowder and his dreadlock game automatically becomes our Demarre Carrol. With any luck we might be able to finally perfect the small ball formula whilst simultaneously reaching the team-ball Utopia that the Hawks stumbled across in January 2015

Leaving aside the "why?", how would would sign both Teague and Milsap? We don't have the cap room for that.

Re: Proposed 2017-18 Celtics Roster?
Ok. So here's my vision..
- Assuming we land the top seed... Draft Fultz.
- Let Amir, Jerebko, Young and Zeller walk.
- Now you need to get an accurate sense of Bradley's value... both trade and a new contract. To me, he's the guy that gets moved either in the offseason or at the deadline. I don't see us paying the price tag Avery will command. So toss his name to the side for a bit.
- Toss Roziers name to the side as well. With Fultz on board, he can be moved out.
- Smart is a tough one. But he can stick around for now since he's still on that rookie deal.
- Make a deal for Hayward. I truly believe he can play the SG position in Brad's system.
- Resign Green to a small deal.
IT / Fultz
Hayward / Smart / Green
Crowder / Brown / Green
Horford / ____ (Kelly?)
____ / Zizic
- There are 2 main positions of need here. Backup PF and starting C. If you don't have plans to resign Kelly, I think his name gets thrown off to the side as well. What I like about Kelly is his ability to stretch the floor... What I dislike is everything else.
- Starting center is an obvious need. A player who can rebound and catch lobs.
Potential Trade Bait:
-Bradley on an expiring
-Rozier on a rookie deal
