“A lot of people haven’t had the opportunity to see me up close," he said. “They’ve seen me on TV here and there. But it’s a different experience once you see me live going up and down. My body and my conditioning, there’s a lot of things I’ve learned in the off-season that have helped me improve.”

The improvements are already showing up on the court.

“Everyone expected him to be real slow but he’s shown a mobility that we weren’t necessarily ready for,” said Celtics assistant coach Scott Morrison, who is serving as the head coach in Las Vegas. "Even in the scrimmage we just had he beat some guys down the floor, caught the ball at the rim, kept the ball up and dunked. We’ve been real happy with him, he’s shown some toughness, and like everyone else on the roster here a real desire to learn and do the right thing so that makes it easier for the coaches.”

Robert Williams, who is suddenly a veteran on this summer league team, enjoys having Fall around.

“Great player to go against,” Williams said. “I’ll accept him blocking my shot, if anybody. Can’t run from 7’6”. But he’s been working hard too, he’s been grinding, picking things up, doing his best."

I'm really pulling for Tacko to make the team. After the way he looked against Duke, and the reports of his improved mobility and steady improvement, he's got a chance.

According to Wikipedia.

Fall is not the only tall member of his family; his younger brother was reportedly 5 ft 9 in (1.75 m) at age 7, while two of his uncles are 6 ft 8 in (2.03 m), but his extreme height stands apart even among them.

Would have liked to see Fall's younger brother at age 7 standing next to Isaiah Thomas.

Not in play, mind you, but on first glance in pics I swear Tacko looks more than a little like KG:

Nice to see him bonding with Grant, too:

“If I have my hands out I cover pretty much the whole paint,” he said. “That’s a great advantage.”
Now imagine that extension from someone guarding a pick-and-roll. In theory it could work. But Fall isn’t a nimble giant, at least not yet.

“The biggest thing for him will not be east-west so much because he’s so wide when he gets his arms out,” said Celtics assistant Scott Morrison, who is coaching the summer leaguers. “It will be more north-south in terms of pick-and-roll coverages.

“Can he get up to the level of the screen to make sure that the (Damien) Lillards and (Stephen) Currys of the world can’t get a free shot off and still get back and take away the roller,” he said. “The natural thing for him would be to just stay back and give up that shot on the perimeter, and against some matchups that will be fine, but if he’s going to use his size to be an elite defender, he’s going to have to go north-south in those pick-and-roll coverages.”

Fall has an unheard of 8-foot-2 wing span.

A photographer needs to get a photo of Fall guarding the entire paint!

Bradley was, at least occasionally, a genuine post scorer in an era when guys still learned post defense.

If this guy does in fact make it into the roster which I think he very well may, some NBA veterans are gonna be real.embarrased when he scores on them lol

Edwards, Tacko, Grant, and Time Lord have been by far the best Summer League players.

The Cavs game was one of the most fun blowouts for the C's in some time, even though just summer league. Those three, plus Grant Williams to some degree, made it really enjoyable to watch. Hope they all stick this year.

Free Tacos! ...er, I mean sign Tacko!!!

I want this guy to succeed so bad, so he doesn't have to hear anymore those sideshow-like cheers/boos when he's getting ready to enter/leave the game.

Those three, and Waters has been good too. Every time he's in there he makes things happen. It's amazing what Waters can do at that size.
