He made quite the impression. Boston loves guys who give it 110%, so I think he's going to be a fan favorite!

Wait till he steps up to take a crucial, game-changing charge against a hulking player knowing he'll get physically punished for it but doing it anyway. You'll all go nuts in the best way. And he'll deserve it. Glad it's a win-win for both teams.

Yea idk how it hasn’t been mentioned yet but arguably Derrick’s greatest skill on the court is his ability to take charges. Dude has great defensive positional awareness and loves to take charges. One of the best in the league at it. He once took 6 charges in one game a couple years ago (and chipped his teeth in the process lol).

Cant have it all for free. If we end up still being a contender in ‘28 all we gave up was a 20ish pick. Since we never pick any good, you should be happy. If you always pick a player of the calibre of White at 20 your franchise will get titles.

It’s largely the hair and partly the game, and I only bring up this name with respect, love, and concern, but White looked a bit like the 21st century Delonte to me.

And I’m case it needs saying I loved Delonte.

Smart is also a master of taking the charge. Wow, it's going to be hard for opposing teams to attack the rim when you have two guys extremely willng to give up their bodies on charges, and the Time Lord waiting behind them to clean up anything that actually does get through!

White is just so smart off the ball, "rotating" on offense. He doesn't move in a hurry, or as aggressively as someone like Avery Bradley used to. You can fly a little under the radar of the defense that way. That can cascade very easily.

Well he is basically what we maybe envisaged Gordon to be when The Jays became a thing.

A glue guy that comes in distributes the ball gets his own when there’s an opening and shoots with above average efficiency.
