I really wish Joe had the confidence to play what’s working. The way he’s playing at the moment White should get as many minutes as he can handle. Good things happen when he’s on the court, on both sides of the ball.

Horford rained threes on the Sixers in the 3rd and had the clutch three in just over a minute left in the game. White was heady and steady all night. JB had that huge stretch in the 4th that kept momentum our way until starters came back in.

Reg season matchup is even between Cs and Dubs in Brad era (10-10).

Cs have owned the Sixers reg season and playoffs since Embiid and Smart were drafted (23-11 in RS, two series wins).

Not really comparable.

Over almost 20 years on this Board, I have always been one of the guys who has gone after the plastic people who gave up in GTs way too early in games & were constantly negative. Joey Biscuit is much better lately.

Last night, &, in a few other recent threads, I have become extremely annoyed with Tatum’s prolonged periods of very poor play in multiple games (in contrast to consistently displaying his truly enormous MVP talent in innumerable other games). It just pisses me off because we don’t win #18 without him playing like the MVP he hopefully will be the majority of most games. And I really want that **** banner.

PS I was one of the first here to point out his unique talent & have raved about him in countless threads since he has been a Celtic & how he has evolved.

My critique of Tatum of late has been based on his play - NEVER PERSONAL.
On the other hand, when I have critiqued #7 much more often, it has been based on his play (TOV & selfishness VS elite scoring ability), AND his history of a couple of intolerable & unforgivable anti-Semitic behaviors which makes him personally despicable to me. Regardless, I want him to play well to increase the likelihood that my team wins the banner.
And, if you or anyone has a problem with ANY of that, I ALSO DNGAF & pound sand.

BTW, those last 24 second stats you recently posted are truly remarkable.
I did not realize JT was that far ahead of the field.
I learned something.

Could be. I will make my judgment about where JT stands in the pantheon of Celtic legends a few years from now. He is an incredible talent & what he has accomplished in his first 5 1/2 seasons is mind blowing. He could indeed rank well ahead of my favorite athlete in any sport. I have posted this before.

For an analytics nerd, Joe using the team's leading +/- guy (for the past few weeks & this game) somewhat sparingly, and sticking more with guys who weren't quite getting it done on the floor is a bit puzzling & frustrating.

Now I'm obviously thrilled & relieved to escape the Wells Fargo Center with the W, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks we could've won this more decisively and with less drama.

I mean, the first couple of pages of the game thread had everyone fairly confident of a straightforward victory, especially with how we handled them last time. So what changed compared to our previous encounter? Did Joe change the gameplan that worked well last time? Why fix something that wasn't broken? Did Doc finally coach & adjust? Were the lineups & player performance the decisive variables/factors that swung it nearly all the way in the Sixers' favor?

I am hoping he won't be that stubborn in the postseason and is just trying to see what works now that the team is healthy.

Could have won last night without a last second shot just by giving White and Brogdan a couple more minutes each.
