This part stands out:
John Schuhmann wrote:They’re the only team that ranks in the top five on both ends of the floor, and they’re even in the top five on both ends (fifth offensively, second defensively) if you take away their 18-4 start to the season.

Just imagine if the Celtics were consistent, Tatum wasn't soft, Smart fixed his shot selection, Mazzulla could coach, Brown was a better playmaker, Horford wasn't sitting out back to back, Timelord was actually playing occasionally...

Take away the 21-5 start, Cs still on a 52-win pace, 9th in offense, and 2nd in defense -- very similar profile to the team that went to the Finals last year.

We're just about done with the regular season and the Celtics bench still have the best 3FG% (38.8%) and true shooting percentage (60.5% TS%) in the league.

Celtics rollercoaster season:
• won 21 of 26
• lost 5 of 6
• won 13 of 15
• lost 4 of 6
• won 7 of 8
• lost 4 of 5
• won 9 of 12

We might lose our last four games lol.

Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Celtics’ Jaylen Brown sounds committed to Jayson Tatum pairing: ‘We’re part of each other’s destiny’

“I think we both love this game tremendously and want to continue to improve,” Brown said. “We compete, we push each other, learn from each other, and I think a lot of our relationship has been built off of that dynamic of respect. And that’s the beautiful part of it.

“I get to see him come into work every single day and see him prepare for winning. I’ve seen him get better every single year. I’ve seen him grow as a man. He’s seen me grow as a man. I get why, I guess in a sense, people always try to break up duos or people like that, because so far, we’ve been incredibly successful, and hopefully, we can be even more; (the) only thing that would put the ribbon on top is getting a championship.”

“There is a phrase that I say, ‘Want for your brother what you want for yourself,’ Brown said. “That’s the only way I understand how to operate, want for people around me what I want for myself…by Jayson being the ultimate version of him doesn’t stop me from being the ultimate version of myself.

“At this point, we’re a part of each other. At this point, we’re part of each other’s destiny.”

Barring a disaster in the last three games, it appears the Celtics will end up with the highest net rating in the league. The last time that happened was in 2007-08.

Per available public data on nba.com (dating back to 1996-97), the Celtics have never finished top 3 in offensive rating. They’re currently 2nd with about a week of RS play left.

For golf fans, Blake just did a quick guest spot on the Par 3 Podcast.

Pretty cool, he talks about the other C's that golf (JT, Hauser, Marcus, Grant, Kornet) and apparently Sam is a stick

I’m saddened to report that the Celtics are no longer part of the 60%-TS% club (SAC, PHI, DEN, DAL, BKN). After that dismal shooting display against the Raptors, they’re down to 59.9%. Two more games to get back up to 60.0+.

Whatever. They didn't win every game of the season so I have every right to be pissy.

But Captain Green said we have no shot this season so hopefully next year we go all in

And someone else said that Pritchard can score at will.

I think it’s clear at our best there is no team that will hang with us. Issue still remains that there are long stretches where the team look like complete brainless idiots and that can prove to be costly.

2019-20: 5th
2018-19: 9th
2017-18: 4th
2016-17: 4th
2015-16: 9th
2014-15: 16th
2013-14: 26th
2012-13: 16th
2011-12: 10th
2010-11: 6th
2009-10: 9th

So our bum of a coach and lame team notched the franchise’s best finish since 2008 title season. Not bad. On to the postseason!

Im gonna assume we killed the league in net rating this year. Unless we lose by 237 to the Hawks.

Aaaaand it's back up to 60.0%. With one game to go. Like JT's 30 ppg scoring average, it's never been done in Celtics history! DO IT!!

Mazzulla got to find a way to play all of White, Tatum, and Rob together as much as possible in the playoffs. They’re our three most impactful players on both ends of the court imo. And their minutes together have been dominant in our favor.

Random: The Celtics played the most number of overtime periods (12). The Blazers with the least (2).

All their overtime losses (7) came against East playoff/playin teams. All their wins (4) came against West teams and the Pacers.
