That's good for the Cs because JT will be driven this coming season.

What's JT supposed to say, "Yeah, I think some of my Olympic teammates don't belong here"?

They avoided adding the team mojo-killer JB, but he's trying to torpedo it without even being there. Just more evidence that they made the right decision to pass over him for it.

He could have said it differently. Like they both deserve to be there. Instead of saying “like there are so many guys that can take that spot or whatever” lol. That was ugly and weird.

Of course he should be motivated. Tatum racking up double doubles and triple doubles, would be much better than racking up points.

It was ugly and weird that JB repeatedly stomped on DWhite's honor and moment like that--and still hasn't congratulated him publicly. JT's awkward phrasing was indeed saying that multiple players deserved to be there. He also, when asked, expressed regret that JB wasn't there with him. JT should never have been in the position to have to respond to his oaf of a teammate's comments.

Yeah, with the roster they have, JT's going to score less and pass more.

But I think he's still going to average at least 27 ppg.

I agree JB should have just congratulated Dwhite, instead of acting like a child who’s butt hurt. Hope he doesn’t turn into Kyrie 2.0 smh. Also, the media will always ask the awkward questions. Probably caught Jt by surprise. They will try to bring a wedge, and won’t post the entire interview to spin the narrative.

That’s the way to elevate his game further. Also, he should try to attack the rim more and lessen his 3 ball, to improve his percentage. I’m fine with the open pull up 3’s. Its the dribble dribble side step 3’s he should avoid.

Why is Hali even on the team if you're just going to have Booker bring the ball up and initiate offense when Steph and Lebron are sitting? Several guys with really bad defensive efforts. I would lean towards it's just an exhibition, but they aren't known for being NBA defenders either so not sure it's as simple as that.

Curry/KD/Draymond/Klay + his assistants carried Kerr all those years.

I listened to one of the C's podcasts with Gary Washburn - he was pretty explicit that those two (Halliburton/Booker) getting the automatic no questions asked green light was one of Brown's issues with the selection process.

The Celtics are about sharing the ball and making the right play now.

Hali makes sense as they don't have any other true point guards as Steph is as much a 2 as a facilitator, but they aren't using him like that at all. He's almost completely off ball and just a spot up shooter so what's the point? If they needed someone to play perimeter defense to start, not get killed on switches to bigger players and finish plays on offense then JB is the better option as that was his role all championship season. Booker in a vacuum I also 100% get as he's probably seen as a player better than Brown by most because of his shooting mainly. They're using him as a creator though like he's just the exact sub for Curry so they don't have to run anything differently. Hey Steve Kerr... this isn't the Warriors with an extra Steph! You have an entire lineup of elite and unique players... use it!! Hali isn't prime Klay and Booker isn't Steph.

Two of the best players on the team so far imo because they're just worried about making the right play. I'd also include that Edwards has been good as a scorer and his defense hasn't been terrible mostly. AD's effort on the boards and defensively have been really good especially. I might say he's been best player on the team so far because of his overall play. Some others have been decent here and there, but too many careless/lazy turnovers and careless/lazy defense to really say they've played well overall.

All that individual talent, such a waste. The other countries with defined programs and same returning players have an advantage in chemistry and familiarity. No offensive rhythm, too many miscues on D.
