Agreed and I'll add two more observations.
1) Doesn't come off as a player who will make mistakes
2) If he proves he still has some gas, he's a guaranteed 1 yr deal type of player going forward. Knocking down 3's for a team who likes to shoot 3's that could be good for the end of the bench.
If any big contracts are moved and roster spots needs to be filled a 1 yr 3mil deal could be a steal
Hauser insurance
If we need to cut costs, and a big contract isn't moved, maybe Hauser is the one to be traded (I am not advocating it, I like Hauser)
He is a solid defender and about 40% 3pt shooter
Good enough
Dude is going to be 35 next year, I think he's a this year run only kind of guy. I mean, if he's here next year and does great then super, but what are they going to do, ship out Sam Hauser to rely on a 35-36 year old Torrey Craig?
If the new ownership will decide to cut costs - maybe
For a guy that comes off the bench - 35 is not too old. Al is 38/9 and is playing pretty good off the bench
The 2008 Celtics had PJ Brown and Cassel at 37
I don't think that we need to do it, just saying it is a possibility
