Ok I’ve taken some time to decompress.

We’re fine everything’s fine. I don’t care about chucking ass loads of 3s but get into actions. Bailed out the Knicks with iso pound the ball clock killing garbage.

Still pissed I have to sit and marinade in this loss for a whole day plus while the Knicks are raising banners already.

Well, I'd add White to the blame list as well even though Derrick did some good things on defense and rebounding.
Derrick''s offensive game last year was pretty balanced between three levels of scoring, he could get guys on his hip, get to his floater, make plays for teammates off the dribble, get to the line.

Tonight White was 16 3pt attempts (5-16), only 2 two point attempts, 2 free throws, 2 assists and 2 TOVs. An 8:1 3PTA to assist ratio is not Derrick playing to the strengths of his overall floor game.

And I think we've seen so many games where Derrick is so one dimensional in his shot profile. Not driving, not generating FTs, not generating assists.

Tonight was not a great game for Derrick IMO, despite the work on the boards. And I don't know why the coaches have altered D Whites shot profile so much since he came to the Celtics, as they've made him a much less dynamic player on offense.

You look at his bballref page. The first year under Ime Udoka 48% of Derricks FGAs were 3PTAs. This year Derrick shot 72% of his FGAs as 3PTAs... THis season he had the lowest FT attempt rate of his career and I don't know why they've coached Derrick this way as an organization... because he's not as good as should be because of these changes imo

100%. Like yeah Tatum can be a chucker sometimes but I didn’t expect white to join in on the 3 point act especially when he was cold for the most part. White is really limiting himself sometimes by strictly being a 3 point shooter. His handles and quickness are good enough to get to the paint and score or draw fouls but he’s really toned it down it feels like it in favor of just firing away threes. All 5 guys shouldn’t be playing this style

I ain't worried about the Knicks. I am worried about wether this team can beat the cavs or OKC now.

They're not scoring nearly enough.

Don’t worry about the Cavs or Okc. Worry about them after this series. We might not even get out this round with the way we play.

This was the type of game that if you don't win the series, you fire your coach. Like seriously, what in the world was Joe on tonight? I only caught the 2nd half and parts of the first, but from the moment I sat down, it was a clown show. This team was no where near ready to compete at a high level tonight, they had no fight in them, and you would think we were the team down 20 with how we were just chucking shots up and playing rushed. Never in my life have I seen a team that illprepared to play a half of basketball. It was generally embarrassing..

Brown was literally the only person who even attempted to drive the basketball in the 2nd half. Joe needed to call a timeout when the Knicks cut it to 14, and again when they scored. This game ended the moment the Knicks got within 11 points, we just didn't know it then. I couldn't believe what we were doing in the 2nd half, just throwing it up and praying for the best every single time down the floor. Such a sad and depressing way to lose. I honestly thought Tatum was hurt, he look like Harden game 7 against the Warriors out there when Paul went down.

I have no idea how we can have a coach so energetic and intense, but still have a team so lackadaisical and indifferent to losing. Like seriously, is their anyone in this thread who legit believes that this team truly wanted to win that game? I'm so sick of this team, i'm just going to be honest. Whatever it is that leads us to constantly play lethargic and noncommittal, i'm all for breaking it off, even if it's Tatum. I want to enjoy actually watching the games, and at this point it just becomes nauseating how little this team cares every other game. They simply aren't good enough to be this lethargic

Also, how many times does Brunson need to destroy Al in the pick and roll before we start to maybe switch that action up?
How are our out of bounds plays so bad, and WTF was that last play?

Seriously, win or lose, this team needs to get shaken to it's core. A game like that should never happen, and someone needs to be held accountable. We missed 45 3's in a game were team only take like 80 shots a game. Such an embarrassment, and if a coaching change needs to happen to undo this horrible philosophy, i'm down for it.

Celtics in 5.

If they don't get out of this round then at least we can speculate on if Joe is fired.

Shooting .330 from the field and losing by 3 is kinda wild. Horrid lose, but I feel as if they can do much better, Porzingis hurt again?

The Cs played poorly, yet the Knicks needed OT to win.

Knicks have been lucky throughout the playoffs. When you win/lose by 5 points or less (including OT regardless of result), you are lucky/unlucky. Cs get another wake up call. I'm not worried.

If we win game 2 and played good basketball, i have no doubt we can beat them in their homecourt. Gentleman’s sweep is possible. If we go down 0-2, we probably lose this series. I’m just embarrassed a defending champs plays like this. They play like its a regular season game. No sense of urgency. No killer instinct. They played scared to lose the big lead. Chucking 3’s praying they would go in.

Glad I missed this ending. Went to sleep after Q1 because I had late day minor surgery and woke up after it was over. Oh well, on to game 2. What the hell happened with Zinger and only playing 13 min, even though he was 0-4 while on the court (i saw him miss 2 chippies, and Holiday miss a chippie, and someone else miss a chippie in Q1). No focus thru shot completion killed them in Q1. I knew it would be tough. They had that 16 point Halftime lead but it should have been at least 22.

I been saying this is not last year’s team for months. They have chucked an insane amount of 3s this season. z If they chuck over 50 attempts in game 2 they’re gonna be down 0-2. Celtics legends were rolling in their graves watching this garbage. 60 3 point attempts is school yard basketball. Can’t wait for game 2. They better be an angry team.

They'll hit more next time.

The game changed when Joe didn't adjust. Allowing his stars to walk up the court and bleed 15 seconds for a poor turnaround jumper 3 is wild.

Move the **** ball.

Same here. I didn’t watch the game at all, but checking bix scores from time to time. Stopped checking when we were up 72-52. I thought this would be an easy win. To my surprise, a friend of mine, a big Lakers fan, texted me laughing emojis. Then the game was in OT. I couldn’t believe the meltdown. Watchd the interviews. Joe and Tatum looked lost. All he could say was he was getting good looks lol. Damn it, even if they were good looks, if you bricking the previous two, then maka an effort to attack the basket. Post up someone. Get to the free throw line. Do anything to break the momentum. How could this championship team lose a 20pt lead in 9mins??? Lol.

We didnt lose because he wasnt there.
We lost because we might be the dumbest team in the league and coach clearly didnt see problems with what they where doing after the break

OKC just kinda did the same and they had a legendary regular season and did look to be the favorites to win it all. Same with the CAVS.
