Hope we learn from this and get up next season.

Honestly, I don't care who makes the finals before the other person. What bothered me is that we definitely didn't perform up to par and made a bunch of really bad mistakes in crucial times in games 1 and 2. That's what bothers me the most. The other thing that bothers me is if that's the Kemba we're gonna get in the playoffs. We brought him here to make clutch shots and he hasn't been that at all.
Good assessment:

KO was a fan during much of the playoffs. Jae is solid but he's like a journeyman at this point, he is on the ride but he ain't much to talk about. Dude is 30, all those seasons of a headstart, he should have made it before Tatum. It would only hurt if they were on Tatum's level while getting there first. Really the only thing I don't like about KO is his ego, it isn't big enough. Jae, I don't like what he did to Hayward but it's not really that much of a negative since no one involved thinks it was intentional. if the man with his foot sitting where his ankle should be doesn't blame him, there isn't anything I can be angry at Jae for.

Can't even hate the Heat like I would want to! I wouldn't have been able to hate on Tor either. Philly, I would have hated mainly because of Horford. Tired of it only being one team (with LBJ) that I can hate on these days. I didn't even get to have a real hatred for the lakers the last few years as I can now, they didn't matter. It also sucks that LBJ is a good guy. Sapsucker needs to be crappy at all times, so I can truly have good and decent hatred for him! Oh, I don't like him and I "basketball fan hate" him but he isn't like the good old hate I had for MJ back in the day (part of that is older and hopefully wiser). :banghead:

Agree. I can't hate the Heat either. They deserved it.

yeah, yeah, yeah, they played hard, Spo's a good coach, etc, etc.

But, you can and should hate the Heat for one reason: Riley.

You're welcome Shak. :)

Can't muster it because he doesn't play or coach. I forget about him every time they don't show that wretched looking (half)face!

As much as I'd love LeBron to be denied again, I highly doubt the heat win more than one game. There was a reason the Lakers were hoping for heat not Celtics. Zone won't work and man defense is terrible as a team.

ugh, gotta listen to this b.s. GOAT argument when that should have been dead long ago. This isn't the same Western Conference it had been this past decade. The dominant teams that made the West so strong i.e. OKC, Spurs, and Warriors were either injured or going through rebuilds. The West simply isn't as daunting this season as it's been. So this stupid narrative that Lebron has shut down that argument about only getting to the Finals in a weak East still stands. He had the easiest path to the Finals in a much weaker West AND he needed a top 3 player and clear league intervention with officiating and a rest due to the pandemic to aid him. The media will elevate this accomplishment because after all, they were all wrong and it couldn't be because they're morons. Nope. It must be because Lebron is the GOAT. When Kobe died the Lakers were going to win the NBA championship. Anyone who doesn't realize this hasn't been paying attention to this rigged league for decades. It's a TV show. It's barely less scripted than the WWE. That's why I'm not so disappointed about losing to the Heat. Did people really want to get their blood pressure up watching the refs fix the series for Lebron like they did in 2016 and for us to pick up another Finals loss? No thanks.

The Heat have more overall talent than the Lakers. They're a better constructed roster and much much deeper. They SHOULD beat them if it was about talent. But I promise you the refs will get involved and steal the series from them. The powers that be equate twitter arguments about MJ v Lebron, with popularity and success. When in the real world, the audience has tuned out because it's obvious the league dictates the outcome of games, promotes offense because it thinks that's good for the game, ignores the rules to get said offense, and pushes for big market teams to succeed with small market teams being their farm system for stars. People have stopped caring. People on here don't agree because they're in the NBA bubble. But the numbers don't lie. The NBA cares more about stories and narratives that the quality of play on the court and allowing the best team to win the games.

It's definitely tough to beat a team whose 3 best "players" are LeBron, AD, and the refs.

Didn't MAgic Trade Dlo because he opened his mouth about infidelity. Isn't that the right thing to do?
Didn't you guys dumb a bunch of draft picks you professed your love to to get AD.
Don't come here with that garbage stuff.
I supposed MAgic quitting on your franchise was KArma or your current GM back stabbing him was Karma.

I could go on and on. But we already own your soul.

Weak. Ainge was the only person who ever gave IT a team to lead, even going back to high school.

When IT had completely unrealistic contract demands that no one was ever going to meet, Ainge still made sure to ship him to a contender, where he lasted all of 15 games until LeBron sent him packing for a bag of balls.

DLO was not getting it done and he admitted he needed to grow up. They were also about to use their #2 pick on another PG, which obviously ended up being a blunder. Anything else you're injecting is pure speculation.

And what are we supposed to tell our picks? That they're trash? Totally incomparable to dumping your MVP who played hurt after his sister died. Don't take it from me my friend, take it directly from the horse's (dad's) mouth. Everything else is revisionist history after your grade school insult and sophomoric comeback.

You own our soul? LOL. Stick to basketball please...lesser of two evils. It's still just a game bro...no need to inject real-world tragedies.

I don't think you understand the difference between the actions of random outlier fans and a team president. The handful of fans who did that pale in comparison to the overwhelming majority that welcomed him with open arms.

Being a Laker fan and talking trash...can you handle that? The IT comment was all that whining about how we lucked into players like Lebron and AD. The Lakers take care of their MVPs. Players remember that sort of thing.
