I remember when winning championships was the goal.

This ecf take keeps coming up and it's just lololololol
Of course winning championships is the goal. Doesn't change the fact that the Danny's teams have out performed about 25 other GMs during this 10 year dry spell.

Danny absolutely deserves some criticism but it is a fact that firing him is more likely to be a downgrade than an upgrade. Can we admit that at least?

Might as well let this be the vent thread for the next few hours and run its course.

Cave, where's the fake Woj bomb that IT is signing here for full MLE? It would be the ultimate troll, even better than the Indy trade one last night (that had me completely fooled).

He's been resting on his laurels though. He hasn't made any great moves since drafting Tatum.

I'd say 35% chance we win the title if Hayward hadn't sprained his ankle.

I'm a zillion times more excited to sign a non name Euro player in the 10% chance he's Theis and 90% chance he's Poirerererere then signing a 36 year old Millsap that does what, get us from the 6th seed to the 5th seed?

It doesn't matter. Championships are the goal, and the thing we have to worry about is 3 years from now with Kemba gone Tatum saying trade me.

We need to find value in the market, we need to at least take the RISK on an unknown to try and find something. None of our moves for the rest of the off season should care the slightest about how many games we win this year, and they all should be focused on trying to get us to win as many games as we can 3 seasons from now.

I knew this take was coming

Attempting to building value in the youth is the right play now.

I know it's popular to assume that all Celtic draft picks will bust entirely, and they're worthless the moment they sign their rookie contracts.

But developing these kids is a necessity now. One of our few remaining ways to manufacture value.

At some point Ainge deserves the criticism he's getting. Today he deserves it, no one can rubber stamp errors continually.

Yes. Now it's the right move.

2 hours ago it was not.

But with tatum and brown hitting max money it gets a whole lot harder to negotiate the cap finding players that will be of use.

2 players simply is not enough.

I'm sure some doom and gloom Utah fan also laughed at the idea of the 13th pick coming in and replacing Hayward.. Then that guy turned out to be Donovan Mitchell. I hear he's pretty damn good. Good thing you actually have to play the games huh?

Danny is dealing with cards 25 other teams don't have. Let him run the hornets and he flunks out of that job just like did with coaching.
