I don't know if you guys have had many clip fans posting in this thread but if this trade goes down I think you will be pleasantly surprised with DJ. He worked his ass off last summer to build a post game and he looked great in the preseason and the beginning of the season. Unfortunately as the season went on he got fewer and fewer touches in the post so he wasn't able to build on the hard work. CP was also a bad match for him at pg because he can't stand to push the ball and DJ runs the court better than almost any big in the nba. With Rondo I think you will actually see him be able to take advantage of his athleticism a little more. If you guys are able to give him a consistent 30+ minutes a game then I fully expect him to give you guys a double double with 2+ blocks a game.

“Gary has been a valuable and loyal member of our organization for the past 18 years,” stated Clippers’ President Andy Roeser. “His recent role this very productive summer, as well as his many contributions during the course of his tenure made it clear that he is the right person to lead our Basketball Operations Department.”

Sacks is beginning his 19th season with the Clippers, serving in the role of Director of Player Personnel for the past two campaigns and as Director of Scouting/Assistant Director of Player Personnel for the prior five seasons. "

Do you guys watch him play? I do, all the time! Think Biedrins when Baron was feeding him a couple of uncontested dunks a game. Can't score 20, can't stop his man from scoring 20. Will grab a board, maybe block a shot and throw down a dunk, but he sucks at basketball! A total liability on both ends on the floor, who cannot even be put in the game in crunch time!

If you are willing to do this deal for DeAndre Jordan's potential, no offense, but you have your head eight feet up your ass! The ONLY reason to do this deal is if he gets packaged with enough sugar in the form of Bledsoe, multiple picks or cap dumping of Terry or Lee. That's it.

There is no gray area here. If it is just DeAndre and the 25th for Doc and KG, you turn that deal down 11 times out of 10! ****, you even turn that deal down if Doc and KG aren't even included. Not kidding!

It's just time for a change. Gotta let roles re-order with the current personnel to allow them to grow. I want to see DeAndre Jordan get 10-12 shots a game on the post - same for Sullinger. I want to see Rondo run the show while looking for his own offense moreconsistently. I want to see Bradley in motion instead of planted in the corner. And Green, basically, keep doing what he did last year.

On just the current personnel there is tremendous value for allowing them to take on larger roles in order to push their development along faster.

So much this. I think this board is forgetting how good Sully was looking before he went down with the back issue. Sully will only look better as he is given the green light on offense to shoot the three. He can post, shoot beyond the arc, and has the vision to make some excellent passes. The main thing that keeps me hopeful about this offer is that Jordan compliments Sully so well. After the trade is made, tell Bradley to do nothing but focus on the corner 3 (and, as BFB said, focus on his off the ball movement with Rondo back). Next season, a starting five of:

Rondo
Bradley
Green
Sully
Jordan

has crazy potential for bolstering value, and I for one would love to see Rondo setting up Green/Bradley/Jordan while Sully gets the Al Jefferson treatment on offense. Defensively, we'd be just fine. Furthermore, I think people are underrating Butler in an off the bench role. Honestly, I bet our 2013 day 1 lineup would take our 2012 playoff team in a 7 game series, and I bet they'd do so in 5 games.

I don't know if they're very good without a defined top 3 scorers, but at least there is good defensive ability, rebounding, and floor spacing in that group.

If Boston can get a fat trade exception for Pierce they can go get Al Jefferson back and actually have a solid 5 seed in the east while facilitating player development in a winning environment.

I couldn't disagree more. KG as a part of a big man rotation in MEM, SA or OKC and the Clips can book loses in the WCF until 2016 (when CP3 will have an opt-out, I am sure).

2 first round picks with: Perk, or Bonner and filler, or just take Ed Davis and Darrell Arthur. Clips never sniff the Finals until their stars reach FA again.

I'm with Caveman on Jordan, he's basically a Joel Anthony/Biedrins type player because he has no BBIQ. Excellent athlete but a terrible basketball player. And I don't understand the concept that Rondo will pump his value up....? He's been playing with a vastly superior offensive PG in Chris Paul.

The pick is essentially worthless and Jordan's deal is awful. If you can't at least dump Terry then I just don't see the incentive, at all.

Jordan has a decent post game that he has been working on, but he is not worth 10 million. Terry and lee have to be In the deal IMO.
