That's because in the new CBA, if we pick Fultz we're likely to be able to keep him for his entire career! If we trade him for a 27 year old, then we lose a lot of years ...

This is a tougher spot for Philly than people might initially think, I know people probably don't give two **** who Philly will take but they need a guard, do they go Fox, Monk, or DSJ?

I'm betting there are gonna be some threads opening for #1 pick for (insert top player) in the trade thread and will be disappointed with Celtics fans having a counter of "We are not trading the #1 pick"

sixers don't own the 5th pick.

Tim Legler just said Fultz is a franchise point guard, can't miss point guard, and some of the things he was doing in the summer camp he saw was mind-boggling. Good stuff

That just means you don't follow enough people!
So what's your take? Do you take Fultz and not think twice or do you think you consider a trade for a vet? I'd puke if we traded this pick.
Depends on who the vet is. Butler or George (if he commits to staying), I'd probably trade it. But I am extremely risk adverse. I prefer the known quantity. And not like Butler or George is on their last legs or anything.
I'm also slightly worried that Fultz's UW team was so bad. They were horrendous and that makes me nervous. But he's still the pick at #1.
You do NOT trade this pick for those guys. They are BOTH available without it.

No chance for Butler. Miniscule for PG. If somehow that came to pass, it would be the pick and pick only.

Or doing his part to pump up the value, ie, you ain't getting it for the Jimmy Butlers of the world.

I think most of this community doesn't want to trade the pick unless it's for a Davis/KAT/Kawhi/Curry type of player correct?
And from what i've read noone really wants Lonzo Ball aswell, we want Fultz. Let Danny Ainge know guys, tweet him everyday, i'll do it.
My daily tweet till draft night will look like this. Unless someone has some cooler phrasing then i'll steal that of course.
@MarkelleF is green your color? Because #celticsnation sure thinks so. Isn't that so @danielrainge? #DannyDontBall #celtics

Add Fultz to backup and eventually play alongside IT and you guys are gonna be deadly.
Would love to see you steal away Hayward this summer too.

I would take fultz and then consider swapping him for Fox + asset from whoever takes him. Fox looks like he will be a star in the league and I worry Fultz looks like the type of guy that won't fulfill his potential

I hope so too. Either Jackson or Fultz, no Ball pls.
Good assessment:
