No burner account here my friend. I just rarely post here as you can see in plain sight from my join date. I'm sorry my "burner" username isn't as nearly revealing of my true identity as yours. A brave man you truly are. Now do you have enough courage to offer a basketball take or rebuttal to my point?

The Lakers take care of their own...the Celts don't so don't cry when superstars spurn you. Jerry Buss, on his death bed, asked his kids to be sure to care of Kobe and now it makes sense why.

It's also probably because Boston is often perceived as one of the more racist metropolitan areas in the country.

Maybe it's more tangible than karma but sometimes you reap what you sow.

Speaking of reaping what you sow, enjoy your ban.

Rumored by a Hawks board insider:

That leads me into the blockbuster. This has only been in talks but nothing concrete but Rosas/Morey/Brand have discussed a possible blockbuster including the 1st overall pick, D'Angelo Russell, Karl Anthony-Towns, Joel Embiid, P.J. Tucker, Ben Simmons, Josh Richardson, and James Harden.

To HOU: 1st overall pick, Josh Richardson and KAT

To PHI: James Harden, D'Angelo Russell and P.J. Tucker

To MIN: Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons

Minny would need to get more back in return for that to make sense to me.

Guy also says:

FYI, if Washington trades Beal, no one will see it coming so don't bother to ask because he's not available and when he is, it will be under complete silence. Most of the teams probably will wish they even knew he was available like KP. Just the way it is with some teams.

I’ve read a lot of his stuff....he’s usually accurate. I’m sure that blockbuster is something talked about but that’s it. Way too many moving parts and it really makes no sense for Minnesota imo......they end up w embiid and Simmons 2 guys whose fit didn’t work yet on a team w better part than minn and in an easier conference?

All in all, I dont think its a bad deal for Harden. Other parts of that article are contingent on Rockets trading Russ for CP3. And it is in OKC interest to keep the rockets out of the cellar, all the picks they own from Houston are top 5(?) protected so if the rockets bottom out, they get nothing.

Same Hawks Insider is saying on page 174 that the Celtics are not interested in Oladipo if they're looking to trade with Indiana.

It would give Minnesota a team capable of making the playoffs and probably put more fans in seats. But two things instantly to mind. Would either of those players want to play for Minnesota. A small market city whose winters make Boston look like Miami. Ben Simmons in particular is an instant flight risk. As said before Simmons and Embiid were not the best fit together in Phili, why would it work in Minnesota? There would probably have to be another move to flip one of them.

And given how much Minnesota is giving up why not cut out the middle man and get the best player in the trade and get James Harden instead? Why is Philadelphia even in this trade?

I am not sure why any team would do those deals.

Minny just got Russell to pair with KAT and they have the picks and capspace to make a push for Booker
Rockets will want to try out with a new coach before trading Harden
Philly, who knows.

Update from NBASupes.

“My guy feels like there are smoke to Brooklyn or LAL for Oladipo and even LAC is considering as well but Indiana still doesn't want to trade Oladipo for lower tier assets or take on a bad contract for a larger mid asset at all.

He said he thinks Indy wants LaMelo Ball bad and will likely overpay for him due to Oladipo forcing their hand. That said Indy wants Oladipo in a larger sum of parts deal for a quality prospect, not as a showcase piece for lower end assets.

MIN has been reluctant to do a deal with Indy having high demands.

As for MIN, they have offers for 1st overall but they aren't really that good by their standard is what I got. They want what my guy stated is a clear overpay industry wide.

We will see what happens. Indy is the most active team that's in the playoffs. Other teams like the Clippers, Sixers and Raptors have been active as well. Some think the Raptors could do a big deal for Oladipo too but there has been no real offers yet from Toronto.

Nets want Oladipo but are only willing to trade Prince/Temple/19. Indy hasn't been receptive and wants more at this time.“

Guys - stop talking about the info in that thread. They will lock it and make it private once they see the info leaking into other message boards.

I hope the Raptors lose Gasol, Ibaka, and FVV

It should be fun facing them next year if they do

They have the best fans on RealGm if they're losing. When they're winning though... well 50 Kyle Lowry general board threads for a team that lost in the second round claiming he's the best player of our generation. So... yeah.

For all our quality of life reasons the Raptors losing those 3 for nothing would be great.

I think there will be at least one of these teams with no options but cap space that will give him 15 mil to start and mentor the younglings.

Ibaka would start from us, not only start but he'd made our team DRAMATICALLY better.

I guess we do have that to offer him, starting minutes on a MLE contract.

But again I assume he'll be priced way out of our price range.

This nba finals will be a joke. Maybe they try to make it to 6 games but i don’t see it.

Return to Boston Celtics
