He's been resting on his laurels though. He hasn't made any great moves since drafting Tatum.

I'd say 35% chance we win the title if Hayward hadn't sprained his ankle.

If the IT and Hayward injury hadn't happened in their primes I'd give it a 100% chance we'd win a title.

That seems like an exaggeration but I was looking it over with a friend for a few hours, and it's a virtual lock to be honest outside of the Warriors somehow coming up with something. But it's a **** lock.

No franchise has had 2 all-stars in their have skill ending injuries like this. We have had the worst luck in the NBA by far over the past 5 years. Our success is DESPITE that not because of luck.

It's prorated worse than hayward, they're the same age, both have injury issues.

Yea I think not. It's the same contract really.

That's how you know you're dealing with green teamers.

Last year danny a genius by not losing the cap hold on the max slot, this year danny a genius for not giving in to haywards contact demands.

Lololol

Kemba has an injury that is non long term. Don't really consider that injury issues

Seemed pretty long term to me when he came back from 5 months of no activities needing rest and to be restricted.

His knees are an issue and anyone who doesn't believe that simply doesn't want to.

Yeah some people can live with reality and others need to gaslight themselves and everyone else into a fantasy land of rainbows and pink hat homerism.

I don't think one is particularly better than the other. Just different personality types.

Meh. Cap space can always be created pretty quickly. Philly just traded Horford who was one of the worst contracts in the NBA.

That's fair, I think he's still top 5-10, but I also wouldn't have been mad at ownership scooping up Morey or giving Zarren a chance.

I knew this take was coming

Attempting to building value in the youth is the right play now.

I know it's popular to assume that all Celtic draft picks will bust entirely, and they're worthless the moment they sign their rookie contracts.

But developing these kids is a necessity now. One of our few remaining ways to manufacture value.

Totally agree and happy for a step back next year in wins/losses if it means Jaylen/Tatum continue to develop and (please god) one of the kids really hits. Doesn't even matter who it is.

Yep.

And really got traded with little draft capital attached.

Are people here really still blind to the lingering concern that is Kemba’s bum knee?

Good grief come on.

I bet these same folks still believe KG is coming back in 2009 and that season was just put on pause...or that Shaq was “ready to go” in 2011...

That's pretty oversimplified. I'm pretty pragmatic but not going to knock Ainge for circumstance.

Cap space can't always be created. Where you people coming up with this.

Brown and tatum are going no where.

That literally leaves smart and kemba.

You're gonna need to create space by dropping on of them. Which really only makes us worse doesn't it?
