And thus SloMo has to find another team to take on his scrubass.

What don't you like, beyond shooting? I've always liked his decision making, defense, etc. But can't say I've scouted him thoroughly. Thought he'd be a good bench option, cheaper than what Grant will probably be.

So Jaylen for Siakam, OG ++?

Well considering that Pascal is already an All-NBA forward, 3-level scorer and playmaker whose contract has the same # of years left on it as Jaylens yet makes about 7M more, it might be Jaylen +PP or something like that.

Jaylens value is much higher than Siakams.

Younger
Better rounded skills
Continuing to improve
better scorer from distance
and IMO a better defender.

I dont think anyone other than Raptor fans or Brown haters would trade brown for Siakam straight up.

Well I think Ujiri and most of the people in the Toronto organization would disagree with you. And while it's nice that you gave your emotionally subjective Celtics-colored plea, I notice that you chose not to address the hard facts regarding contracts as if that doesn't actually matter just because we want to make a veiled dogwhistle attempt to call out so-called Jaylen haters.

Ohh...and your "Better rounded skills" argument is complete bull too.

I didnt think I needed to dumb down the concept of matching salaries as that is a given to every other poster.

You have, for the upteenth time proven your posts are not worth reading while simultaneously being able to come incredibly rude.

Welcome to ignore! Congrats...only 3rd person to make it!

Based on what came out afterwards, apparently Gobert was going to sit out the game with back spasms but SloMo shamed him into playing. It looks like he might not be able to play due to the back issues.
Scrubs who think they have "leadership" are generally super toxic. Like PatBev, Haslem and those guys.

from an NBA Executive about Toronto:

“They’re going to get rid of some of their assets and just go in another direction,” said a league source. “Who it is, I don’t know. But I know that (OG) Anunoby’s name comes up all the time. Interestingly enough, (Pascal) Siakam’s name is not as well regarded as you would have thought. The guy gets buckets. He can score. But it do think he and Gary Trent carry the same label. They can score, but I’m not sure they help you win.

No fair waiting for that to come out. 8-) The fact that he can be shamed into playing (and mention it after the incident) is so very Rudy, though. It's still on Gobert to know his body and if he can play or not. Of course his teammates are gonna try to get him to play when the season is on the line.

Wolves have such a vacuum in leadership / play the right way guys, that it's tough to judge anyone that goes there and at least tries. Though, adding Conley obviously helped there. I'm guessing KA would be fine on a team like the Cs. Maybe have a Marcus level event every now and then. But, what do I know? I mainly just like that he's tall and can playmake.

I believe in finding guys who don't have high value but who could be on track to break out. The guy I'm interested in now is Poku from OKC. They have a roster crunch coming up and the rumors out there have him being a guy who could be expendable. He's starting to fill out and has a great skill set. Health has been a bit of a an issue but no long term concerns. Depending on matchups, he can play the 3, 4, or 5. Check out his highlights the last time he played Boston.

You do realize he only played in 34 games this season? Out of OKC's last 49 games, he's only played in 3 of those games. And in those 3 games, he's only averaged 7 MPG.

Also, that might be what you believe in but Brad clearly believes in a different strategy. Look at the types of guys he has added to this team: horford, d-white, brogdon, j-rich, schroder, muscala, griffin, Kanter. All proven vets, age 27+.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Yes of course but they will also need to look at the future at some point and it's better to be proactive.

Failed first round picks like Pokusevski, Samanic, Sekou, Bagley, Pritchard etc. are too expensive to be viewed as a lottery ticket. Poku will make $5 mil. next season. He's very expensive for a guy who will get fewer minutes than Kornet and has shown worse upside than Kornet. If he's cut maybe it's worth getting him in Maine.

I think Poku has shown more than any of those guys and would be a rotation player very quickly because of his versatility. He's not a comp to Kornet at all because on offense he's a wing. His salary could replace Pritchard's, and you would be moving a player at a position of strength and replacing him with a player at a position of need.

Don't mind where you're going with this although between Rob, Al, Luke, Tatum, Muscala, Gallo, and Jaylen, our frontcourt for next season is gonna be pretty stacked. And that's not even including whatever is gonna happen to Grant. I worry he'd get buried here without a serious roster consolidation move made.
