We have only year and half for a big trade. In 2018 when Bradley+IT will be up for new contracts it will be to late.

We can offer the best package imo...probably lakers are biggest trade competition.

Stein got 1 rebound in 25 minutes of game time against the Magic. That's not going to cut it here.

I don't think we have a strong locker room presence to keep Cousins in check. Not sure even Jae can keep him cool. As the Kings want too much for him anyway, I'll pass on Cousins.

Unfortunately wouldn't help our rebounding whatsoever, but is an intriguing talent and locked in for a few more years.

A part of what we're struggling with is just plain size, so I think he'd help.

9'3 standing reach would go a long way - literally.

His rebounding %s are right around Zeller's last season. But I wonder if playing alongside Boogie has something to do with that.

He was a mediocre rebounder in college, albeit with more good rebounders around him.

But he's long, and athletic and mobile. He's a good guy to have patrolling around our team of shrimps.

Rebounding alone isn't our problem-- we can't really defend either. Having a big man who can actually move his feet will make a world of a difference.

I speculated a few pages back about WCS-- 2 DNP-CD's this year and his minutes are far down. He's clearly in the dog house, and could be a great buy low. Fits in wonderfully with Horford too.

Kings have picked between 4th and 8th from 2009 to 2015. Four are no longer with the team (Biyombo, Robinson, Evans, Stauskas). BenMc and WCS have at one point not been satisfied with how they're being utilized and both have been rumored to be on the trading block. Boogie is either gonna be traded or leave in FA. Well done, Kings!

Jimmer instead of Biyombo (draft day trade), but your point stands :)

Haha you're right. Forgot about Jimmer. Kings's loss, China's gain.

Sac would probably want young sf, which we do not have...rosier would probably not be enough...maybe add another low pick.

In the off-season, I believe that Smitty said that the kings were high on (my apologies if my memory is incorrect). Maybe Rozier, Young and the Memphis pick?

wow sac-town is a huge mess. They have absolutely no future, year after year they fail at drafting guys, it's like david kahn with more seasons. Once they lose demarcus they will literally be the worst team in the league. They did not need another big, they needed someone from guards like mudiay, instead they wasted another pick on a player that's not fitting into rotations . And then next year they add even more big men to rotation

With the exception of Koufos, I wouldn't give a bag of potatoes for anyone on the Kings roster.

One thing to consider. For all of his rep coming out of college as a top defender, he's been brutal on that end in the NBA:
Sam Vecine (Sporting News) was explaining why from what he hears interest around the league is real low, and tweeted this:
Read on Twitter

Two things of note there:
1. He's a negative on defense.
and more concerning
2. Teams destroy the KIngs on the offensive glass when he's in.

Last year wasn't quite as bad, but opponents still had an ORB% of 27 when he was on the court (24.2 off). Defense was less horrendous last year, but still 2 points worse with him on than off.

It would have to be a buy very low for me to be interested.

Agreed. Teams don't give up on high draft picks after 1 year if there isn't a problem. Unless he's cheap, I don't see how the C's would be interested.

Yeah, Cauley-Stein isn't defending at an NBA level, despite physical gifts (Javale McGee is his worst-case scenario). He also can't rebound, put on some muscle this summer, but not enough. He's a flyer as much as anything. You don't overpay.

Okafor's value is tanking, he played 3 minutes for the Sixers tonight. And Embiid is so good, it makes Okafor and Noel look useless. Not much they can do. Would still take Noel.

But if we forget about max cap space for a minute, Enes Kanter is there for the taking. Still flawed on D, don't know how well he can get it together. With Adams and now Sabonis looking good, he's a big expensive chip Oklahoma City may not need. Beasts off the bench in points and boards.

And there's Greg Monroe.

Amir for Enes tempts the hell out of me. But there's a reason a guy who scores and boards that much comes off the Thunder bench.

Something like Bradley to SAC, WCS to PHI, Mclemore/Noel to BOS? Perfectly willing to take a step back in the short-term if it helps us down the road and improves our overall talent level.

Tyson Chandler for Zeller and a first round pick. Defense, defense defense.

Terrible defenders like Okafor, Kanter and Monroe make absolutely no sense.

Trading a 1st round pick and losing max cap space for an in decline 34 year old Chandler with 3 years left on his deal doesn't either.

If they make a move the most logical one if Bogut or Noel.
