The Mavs have now won 5 of 6 with Doncic OUT. Four of the wins are on the road.

Southwest Division killing it lately (not you, Pels!). MEM, SAS, HOU, and DAL all 4-1 or better in last 5.

Steph complaining of new nagging knee issue.

Always happen to players closer to their late 30s.

If true I have to give Ingram credit. Maybe there still are really rich athletes who put winning in front of money. How much money do you need to achieve generational wealth?

I'll circle back to this Celtics team. The top players are set financially wise so they can sacrifice individual accomplishments that may increase their chances of receiving an even more wealthy contract in a few years for the chance of winning a few championships. I was surprised that White signed that 4 year extension because I figured he would see himself as a 40mil dollar a year player. He was content with his financial situation and chose to make winning a priority. That player option will most likely be his last big pen to paper payday agreement at 35. To be 35 and finish your career making 230mil is a pretty good situation to be in.

The C's top 6 players will have career earnings easily over 200mil dollars from NBA contracts. So they can prioritize winning over money because how much do you really need? There's a good chance that PP will earn over 100mil if you want to compare his career with TJ McConnell. Sam will make great money in his career. I watch the games on NBC Boston and guys like Eddie and Scal are happy guys who grinded their way through the NBA making 14mil and 20mil in their career. Like the majority of us they still have to work. They do TV which is great but they have to do it. Guys like JT, JB, Jrue, White, KP, AL and even PP will NEVER have to work another day in their life when they retire. If they do it will be because they get a TV deal like Tom Brady. At that point it becomes Monopoly money.

Shackles, if you're reading this, this isn't a Brandon Ingram burner account. I'm just saying I give the guy credit if it's true that he chose winning over money.

Michael Pina‬ ‪@michaelvpina.bsky.social‬

Marcus Smart is starting to look like vintage Marcus Smart, in a bench role for the deepest team in the league. Memphis is so freaking good.

They aren't. Another thing they aren't is better than the Celtics.

Dort tried to behead Sengun. Refs looked at it for minutes, decided it was not flagrant. Where do they breed these imbeciles?

Maybe the refs watched a lot of Lee Van Cleef movies when they were kids.

Nah, he used to fill people with lead instead. Beheading was not his thing.

Yup!

Refs didn't see lead, so no flagrant.

Good day of hoops. Only two blowouts out of 10 games. Whoever's doing the last two minute reports gonna earn his pay tonight.

Sengun and Brunson were named Players of the Week. Tatum continues his weekly streak of being nominated while Pritchard was nominated for probably the first time in his career.

Lbj has been stat padding for years! Goes back before the bubble where they won in the most optimum circumstance for a team like that!! Idc!! Not saying it wasn’t a real chip, just saying they wouldn’t have won in normal hard circumstances IMO! If Celtics had won I’d be happy too, you play the hand you’re given. Just think LBJ is getting the numbers but their team has been terrible forever! Would prove more true had they not given 10 teams a chance the last few seasons!

Could be hating but I’m sticking beside it!
