Side note - has any NBA player has ever abased themselves like Kawhi Leonard?

LeBron James was a free agent, so he signed with a team he wanted to sign with. Kevin Durant was a free agent, so he signed with a team he wanted to sign with. Kawhi Leonard has faked injury to sit out a season, and is threatening to do it again, to force a club with a sterling track record to trade him a specific destination, just because he wants to be there. Its unbelievable.

Because he can't shoot, he's a horrific defender and a terrible playoff performer.

He didn't fake an injury, and the Spurs have done an absolutely horrific job handling this.

Everything leading up to this.. yea agree. But this summer SA was put in a tough position with the trade demand. Not sure how much better they can do here. Kawhi isn't making this any easier.

Hey everyone, what's the deal? I have been hospitalized and now in rehab with Guillain-Barre syndrome. It's a terrible autoimmune disease, that is left me paralyzed which I am slowly recovering from. It's been hard 2 stay updated with what's going on in the NBA. I have to use talk to text to type this, and can't really screw through the entire thread..

But I'm hearing the Raptors are the leaders in the running for Kawhi!? What's going on, and what are the big updates with the Celtics this summer?

I certainly hope you feel better, I read that your syndrome often results in a full recovery. Sounds scary though.

I had an autoimmune disease a few years back when I finished college, it was lupus or borderline lupus per blood results with a lot of antibodies. (Possible celiac disease too). I was in some rough shape but the only thing that reversed it for me was going on a strict gluten free/wheat free diet. I only "indulge" at times when it's a holiday or my birthday and take enzymes to break down the food. It's pretty weird to explain, but when I eat or drink too much gluten my body flares up and creates inflammation which can trigger symptoms. When I eat "clean" I am pretty much always symptom free.

I hope you can find what triggered it for you or some relief soon. Sometimes it's medications, stress, genetics.......or in my case food which doctors were shocked about.

My stuff though was/is nothing compared to what it sounds like you been through. Some autoimmune diseases can be quite serious, mine meant I could function everyday but I just felt like garbage.

With the Celtics, only real news is no news on Marcus Smart. Just the waiting game to re-sign him and most of us hope it happens.

Kawhi seems to be leading towards the Raptors the last week, most rumors say Derozan would end up on the Spurs. But, considering this is Kawhi and all, nothing is certain and there really is still no movement that seems inevitable.

Heard he may do the Team USA mini camp soon?

Unless they do full speed scrimmages, it still won't give a clearer picture of whether he still has MVP form.
