Hope I’m wrong but I doubt it

I mean, what do you expect with the 54th pick..

You just described the outcome of most picks in the 54-60 range.

With that being said, I think he could surprise you. Can pretty much defend 1-5..high IQ player, polished, plenty of development and experience under his belt - has played in lots of big games on big stages. Plays the right way, doesn't make any mistakes..think an NBA team could put him on the floor (maybe not in year 1 but certainly by year 2) and he could do ok out there, not mess anything up..

Solid player that late in the draft, imo.

The key will be the outside shot..if he can keep working on it and can knock down open catch and shoot 3's, it'll help his chance for playing time..

But he can absolutely defend..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Watson is a great wing defender and finisher at the rim. I had my eye on him since his freshman season. Not a bad pick.

I mean that’s the likely outcome for any pick in the 50s. Great if he can contribute in anyway, whatever if he can’t. Your expectation of trading up was never really realistic for the Cs imo

Slow as molasses..

He would be a better fit playing overseas somewhere.

So is Mike Muscala, but he's carved out a career for himself. If you can shoot 40% plus from three at the NBA level, you've got some utility (not saying Post can definitely shoot 40%, but that's what you'd hope from him).

Everyone at this stage in the draft has major flaws, I like taking a shot on guys who can do at least one thing really well and hope they can mitigate the rest of their flaws over time. Extra points if that one thing is shooting the basketball. Either that or go for a super raw prospect with great physical attributes like Chomche.

Watson is fine though. Love the noceilings article on him as a "skeleton key" guy. Kinda the opposite of what I just said I like, but at this stage in the draft you might as well pick a name out of a hat in most cases. Dovetails nicely w/ Baylor, so solid draft overall.

You don't give up assets to trade up in a draft this bad. Better to trade out if you could. Unlikely to find a taker for pick 54 in a draft this week.

It does actually look like they should have Traded Out to another year.
But, we'll see.

I'm low key disappointing that Filipowski fell, and we didn't get him. He was a MA kid too.

He put up huge numbers 2 years at Duke, and was a big man that could shoot 3's. He was the 4th ranked prospect coming out of HS. I think we needed to find a developmental prospect that could take over for AL at the end of the year, and thought he was the slamdunk pick.

Shame we didn't get him
