Curmudgeon wrote:What's the point of Tucker? He's a 31 year-old small forward ( or undersized pf) who doesn't shoot particularly well (33.8% from 3, 48% efg%), doesn't rebound particularly well (7.5 board per 36), and doesn't protect the rim (0.3 blocks per 36). He's also an expiring contract, and Ainge has said he's not interested in rentals. He's probably not going to resign with the Suns; hence he has negative trade value.

The Tucker rumors are absurd, unless he's somehow connected to a bigger deal. I wouldn't even part with James Young for Tucker.

It makes sense if Crowder is going out in another trade. Otherwise, yeah, he's redundant on the Celtics.

Anyone have any idea when Avery Bradley will be back?

He seems to have missed so many games so far, will he be back the first game after all Star break?

Not crazy if he commits to an extension. If not, then it's too risky.

If Griffin commits to an extension and non-Brooklyn picks in play, I'd be on board with this too.

Jae/Avery/2 non-Brooklyn firsts for Griffin
Jerebko/future pick for Tucker

Why would Clipps give us a perennial All-Star for two good players and two mid-late 1st's ??? One of the 2 BKN picks will have to be included in order to acquire a talent like BG.

Lol now we are linked to Blake? Just doesn't stop does it. Too funny to see while you're drunk.

Because blake is an expiring, has no commitment to stay after this year.

Would rather have Cousins than Blake who's frequently injured and will probably head back to LA and join the Lakers.

I've always appreciated Blake and last year said he was my favorite target in the league ahead of Durant, but we've reached the point with injuries with him where I just don't see trading for him. If your medical staff believes he's ok and as a FA, maybe, but to give up assets for him otherwise seems too big a risk.

That said if we sold off everything (both BRK picks, AB and Jae) to put together IT/Smart/Butler/Griffin/Horford with Brown/Yabs/Zizic as our only 'future' left... I don't know. It's not what I'm rooting for (on team #keepthepicks) but it's interesting. We'd run into salary problems pretty quickly, right?

An extension goes without saying, I wouldn't give up Jae and/or AB without it ..much less add picks.

I'd watch out for a three team trade. Knicks, Celtics Clippers.
Doc hs to go all in.
Melo to Clips, Blake to Celtics, Clippers also get Crowder and Avery and picks to the Knick plus whatever makes the salaries work.

How does adding Melo and removing Blake make Clips a better team?!

This is Doc we are talking about he doesn't want lottery picks he can't afford to pay them. Doc wants players for right now. It wouldn't shock me to see Doc go for some combo of Bradley, Crowder, and Olynyk and a collection of 1sts that he can trade away.
