Just started on Yellowstone. Long overdue. Mid-sized time commitment to do a marathon of this show. But from what I've read, it's gonna be worth it.

Oh man, you are in for a treat. Absolutely fantastic. I've re-watched it like 10 times. New season is starting on November 7th with 2 episodes back to back.

A few I really liked past couple of weeks: CODA (2021), Capharnaüm (2018), Wild Tales (2014), Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019), The Father (2021), The Peanut Butter Falcon (2019), Yesterday (2019), The Art of Racing in the Rain (2019).

He's still around. I see him elsewhere on social media. I'll let him know he's missed if he doesn't see this first.

Season 1 finale now. I'm hooked. It's insane how something extraordinary happens to the Duttons like every 5 seconds.

I'm getting most of my entertainment from Kanopy these days. They don't have the newest stuff, but they do have the best stuff.

Some titles I've watched in the last few months and would recommend: Blow Up (1966), Blow Out (1981), My Beautiful Laundrette (1985), All About Nina (2018), Beginners (2010), the trilogy L'Auberge Espagnole/Russian Dolls/Chinese Puzzle (2002-2013), Thelma (2017), Transamerica (2005), The Silent Partner (1978), Marathon Man (1976), Oxygen (2021), Dating Amber (2020), Shallow Grave (1994), House of Wax (1953).

As for series, I loved Derry Girls and Flight of the Conchords. I'm currently binging on Newsradio (not sure why this gem has been forgotten), The Avengers (a sixties show), and The Persuaders! (a seventies show). I'm considering buying The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (another sixties show).

I liked both Capharnaüm and Wild Tales. Yesterday is on my to-watch list (Danny Boyle fan here), and I'm adding most of your other titles to it.

2 episodes into Squid Games on Netflix. Weird and violent but very entertaining. Korean with subtitles.

just finished watching all the Conjuring universe movies. The two James Wan actually directs are great (Conjuring 1 and 2), the others, not so much, especially the last two. That director (Michael Chaves) should never be allowed near a movie set again. Went on to watch another James Wan movie, Insidious, and that's legit scary. There's a few incredible jump scares early on and it's well acted and super creepy.

If you liked Justified, Banshee, Sons of Anarchy, and/or Peaky Blinders, I think you'll love Yellowstone. Finished 3 seasons in less than a week lol.

November can't come soon enough.

Spoiler:
Free tip: Never leave your phone at home hahaha.

I finished Justified last month and am on The Shield. Have watched Yellowstone and a couple of seasons of Banshee. Love them all. Haven't been able to successfully get into Sons or Peaky despite attempts.

I'm a fan of sleepsmakeswaves, but was late to the party on their Like A Version of Children by Robert Miles which they did four years ago (only discovered it recently, I don't really listen to the radio).

I think I posted about Like A Version either earlier in this thread or the first thread, but if you are unaware Triple J is a radio station here in Australia and they have a weekly thing where a band comes in and plays one of their own tracks live and then a cover version of someone else. They are bit hit and miss depending on the artist but there have been some pretty good ones.

Here a couple I like (again, I can't remember what I posted previously so this could be a repeat).
