top 3 @ 14 : Saddiq Bey, Achiuwa, or Kira Lewis jr.

Bey's size and defensive potential puts him over nesmith for me... On nova he would guard elite pgs and also bang in the post.

14: James Wiseman
14: Edwards
14: Deni

I assume all of those are gone in the top 3 picks so I will go with

14: Lewis
14 Bey
14 Vassell

I agree that it makes no sense to have more than one rookie. If there are any openings on the roster, it makes more sense to sign a veteran who can actually come in and help win games in the playoffs. We already have a super young team across the board. Its not like Danny dealing with the 2010 roster.

So what does that mean? You could trade out of the first round for future picks, but it appears that there is not much of a market, because the 2020 draft is viewed as average at best, and the next few drafts are seen as being superior. You probably have to trade picks 26 and 30 for future second rounders.

You could draft guys to stash overseas for a year or two, but there are few international guys in the draft so that is drawing to an inside straight on draft night. They might demand playing in the NBA immediately with a guaranteed contract or be released, as is their right as a first round choice.

You could try to convince Americans you draft in the first round to play abroad for a year or two, but Covid and the late November draft make that far less plausible, and it is a longshot in the best of circumstances.

You could bundle the three no. 1 picks to move up and maybe, just maybe, that gets you to the 9-11 range. Then you get your one rookie and you create space on the roster for him. And that only makes sense if Team Danny is convinced there is a stud available as 9-11 clearly superior to who they might get at 14. That is unclear in this draft.

I'd probably opt for that, or just offload all the picks for future picks, even if that is mostly second rounders and one heavily protected first rounder.

Expect Danny to have this all figured out....and to surprise us.

Unless you get rid of some of the 2nd year players G Williams, Langford, Edwards, Fall, Waters, Poirier etc.

I feel like Nesmith could be this draft's Tyler Herro, so he's definitely my pick if he's still available.

Edit: My top 3 is Nesmith, Maxey, Patrick Williams (just so we can say we drafted a Williams for the 3rd straight year).

I'd prefer Jalen Smith but I think he'll be gone before we pick at 14.

My top picks at 14:

1. Saddiq Bey
2. Kira Lewis Jr.
3. Aaron Nesmith

At 14 my current goals are:
1. Patrick Williams to slide in next to Tatum and the other Williamses
2. Saddiq Bey — love this cat and his quick release. Plays like Crowder but maybe not a douche.
3. Nesmith — if I liked Buddy Hield as a prospect I feel obligated to like this guy too.
4. Jalen Smith — his nickname is Sticks!
5. Josh Green — seems underrated?
6. Any point guards — again what I hope is we end up with two picks in the teens and no other selections this year (or my dream = trade up for Okongwuuuuuu yeah!)

Changing mine to
1. Precious
2. S. Bey
3. Nesmith
In light of P. Williams’s lateral limitations

For the doubters, LaMeo wasnt lying to the kid lol— wouldnt do that over meeting with a shoe company. Hes covering his tracks which makes me really think were interested.

The Celtics facility is New Balance, not Puma FWIW

Have been away for a few days and just wanted to chime in on a recent story. If we were to make a deal, say involving Hayward to GSW for the #2 pick, that would be bold as hell and I would be all for it. LaMelo has some warts of course but he has some natural gifts that you cannot teach. He would absolutely make Tatum and Brown better players. It would suck to have to deal with his Dad of course but it would be worth it to see what he could do with this offense and the talent in it.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

Gosh I’d thankfully forgotten about the father of Balls.

Lots of love here for Saddiq Bey. I get it, he is a super tempting player to draft. But like SO many players in this class, his shooting form concerns me. That low release point is just ugly. His defensive potential is sky high though. Great motor.

As far as my top 3? I'm not sure since i don't much love this class, but I suppose it would be Vassel, Kira, and.. I suppose Bey?

I'd rather combine our picks into one good player rather than the three horses heads we drafted last year.
we need to regig out analytics formula.

Improvement needed galore on the draft process.

I like Bey but not in love with his burst and explosion (or lack thereof). Guy is not going to beat anyone off the dribble in the league. Is a spot-up shooter worth the 14th pick?
